Fellow Oregonians...I need your help!

Okay so I know there are few Oregonians on the BB....

My 10yr anniversary is this weekend....

we were hoping to go away for one or two nights (would love 2 nights, but don't want anything super expensive!)

So we normally go to lincoln city, depoe bay for the coast.... would love something different... If we do the coast we probably would NOT want to do the aquarium... we were just there w/ the kids, etc....
(FYI...we live in Salem)

don't want to drive hours... it is only for the weekend LOL

so anyone have any great ideas of something to do...
I don't mind walking, site seeing, etc.... As much as we want some alone time w/out kids :o we do want something to go see or do :cool:

just want/need a get-away!

I'm also in Oregon, but I'm not great about traveling about so I don't have any great suggestions. Our last coast trip last summer was to Lincoln Bay. Are you skiiers? Maybe a trip to Mt Hood? Or maybe check out what shows/concerts are happening in Portland and do a city trip? Venture out to the Pearl District if you like to shop and wander... or Saturday Market under the Burnside Bridge (I think) Actually, I think the big Cinco DeMayo festival(probably spelled that wrong) might be happening at the Waterfront Park. I'd go to oregonlive.com to see if they have some sort of list of activities if you plan a city trip. Or of course, nothing says romantic weekend like spending it in front of your computer for National Scrapbook Day... LOL

May 2nd is actual anniversary... I am out of luck pretty much every year!!!
