ok...I am going to sound like such a loser..but whatever. :p

What the heck is the strategy to this game?! For personal reasons I MUST get a score of 11,250 or more. :D :D :D :D :D :D So...do you keep everything worth any amount of points each turn, or do you keep like just the min. and hold out for the big points? And at what point do you stop rolling????

Seriously...i need serious help. lmbo! And Melissa Bennett...I know you must have secret skillz, so dish!!! :p
 
Dude, I suck at that game, so I'm going to refrain from offering my wisdom. My high school was like 9350, and that was a total fluke. LOL
 
I always keep the 1s, sometimes I throw the 5s out unless there's three or more of them. LOL
 
My brother and our brother-in-law almost got in a fist fight over farkle last Christmas. I wish I knew the strategy to this game! I'm not the best at it!

I totally keep the 1s and get rid of the 5s unless there are at least three 5s.
 
ok...but at point do you stop rolling???? Like when there's 2 or less???

and yes...I can see fights over this game..... lmbo Hence my need for 11,250. :D :D :D
 
I think Melissa has secret skillz for all games!! LOL!! She always has the some of the highest scores ever on Bejeweled blitz too!!

I have no strategy. I sometimes keep the fives if I have a couple of ones...other times I'll roll the dice and see what I get...I get wayyyyy too many farkles. So many that everytime I see it come up on the screen, I giggle and think that farkle should be the next big swear word, lol!
 
LOL! I was just telling my hubby that Farkle should be a curse word! I find myself yelling and mumbling farkle-ish sounding words when I am mad. :D :D :D

So is there an online Farkle that you all are playing? I've only played this game "in real life." Please enable me. :)
 
It's on Facebook. Just do a search for it on there. You'll lose hours of your day though--be warned.
 
Heather - I believe they are playing Farkle on Facebook.

I, too, am Farkle challenged. By a fluke I had a game in the 9,000's, but most of the time I'm in the 6K's.

I didn't realize you didn't have to keep everything that made you points. Interesting...
 
LOL, my friends taught me this game about a year ago and it's SO addicting!! We play it every time we get together!

My strategy (which, btw...got me to win the last round with all of them, 15000 to 0) is always to keep the 1's, keep the 5's only if it'll keep me rolling and don't stop unless you've got a good roll and only 1 dice left. Most of the time I risk it, because it's just no fun unless you're risking things, lol.

I'm not sure how it works on FB, though...the IRL game though you go around in a circle with other players...when I'm nearing the point limit, I will keep only small rounds, it makes it easier to go out (we play that you have to get the exact points or you bust).

It's a dice game...my mom was just teaching my boys last Friday (IRL)...

I am not going to facebook...I am not going to twitter...I am not going to waste time I could be scrapbooking...I am too far behind...(done with my chant) ;)
 
I mush prefer the IRL version as well because the way I learned, there were some other ways to score.
 
Farkle is a very very dangerous game, lol! I learned to play it at Bree's and OMGoodness, we haven't laughed that hard in a long time, lol! Bree's poor DH kept getting *right* up to the 1000 mark and then would roll a Farkle, lol.

Now I'm sucked in to the Facebook version - I literally will play for a straight hour trying to beat my all time high score (about 9800). I almost made it yesterday, and my heart started palpitating and my hands were sweaty... LOL!

As for strategy, I also just keep the 1's unless there are 3 or more 5's. I also have a "rule" that I won't roll my last dice if I'm over 400, because I almost ALWAYS get a Farkle, and 400 pts is better than -500!!
 
Oh my gosh, too funny!!! No mad Farkle skillz at all!! Just pure luck. Oh ya, and I bought 2 extra rounds to get that score!! *runs and hides*

LOL!

It's fun, but I definitely prefer playing it IRL with other people - it's SUCH a fun game to play in a group...especially when you can steal points and stuff, hehe...
