Facebook ???

Thanks chicas... There are a few people on mine that I don't really know and want their updates, etc. gone...
 
I was wondering this too...if you remove them as a friend, are you still on their friend list? Can they still view your profile?
 
if you remove them they are gone. You will no longer be able to see their profile and vice versa. Now just and FYI, if you play any of the games ie Mob Wars, and you have added strangers to your account so they can join your mob, you CAN erase them from your friends list and they will NOT be erased from your mob. If that makes sense.
 
I think you are 'disconnected' from them completely. If they have a ton of friends, they may not notice, but otherwise, they might wonder....:unsure:

I can't tell how to 'unfriend' or 'defriend'...LOL, whatever the word would be. I found the Block under the Privacy Settings which looks like maybe that is how you do this? Any FB power-users?
 
if you click friends up top.. and then type at least the begining of their name or whatever to find them.. you can hit the X on the right side of their name and delete them (and no I dont' make a habit of this LMAO I just had to remove someone earlier today haah)

Block is different. If you block someone, they won't even see that you have a profile and if they search for you, they won't be able to find you.
 
I like this "block" idea.

One thing to think about, Kat, is that when you delete someone as your friend, they still see you listed as other people's friend AND, the "friend finder" will still suggest you as a friend if you have connections with them. I really hate that stupid friend finder.

If you just don't want to see so much info about them, you can just click on the little "options" thing beside their latest status update. You can choose btwn "see more about ...." and "see less about ....". I chose "see less" yesterday for a number of people I just don't know well enough to want to know what they're doing every second. :)
 
Well, I know for a fact that you are not notified if someone defriends you. Sadly, I've had it happen to me :( I noticed though becasue I wasn't seeing any update on her anymore. She was my best friend in high school and she defriended me! WTH!! I took it personally at first thinking maybe it was due to the fact that I married one or her ex-boyfriends (yep, there was lots of drama around that) but then noticed that she defriended all of her high school classmates. Oh well, who needs 'em?
 
If you click ignore on a person's request, do they find out? I had someone add me that I only share a CT with and its not a CT that we have an active forum on.
 
Well, for the most part I just wanted a girl from HS gone that I couldn't stand then and still can't stand. Plus there were a few others from HS that I know by acquaintance and I really don't need them on there. And I have my settings set to Friends Only b/c I don't want any of my ex's to find me... :blink:
 
I don't think you should be offended if you get deleted. I delete people all the time, not because I don't like them but because I'm rethinking my relationship with Facebook. I'm thinking I want to use it to connect with the people I don't connect with in other ways, people i actually have relationships with NOW, not just people I knew 15 years ago in high school.
 
I defriended a lot of scrap people that while I sort of knew who they were, I had never actually ever spoken to them. I also defriended some other people too, that I just don't know anymore, and had added just because they were from my old home town. I am also rethinking my Facebooking too, not sure what I'm going to do with it to be honest. There have been days when I've almost deleted the whole thing.
