There is a LO in the gallery that has the wrong date of an event on it. The user doesn't seem to allow PMs, but I wanted to let them know of the correct date. How can I do this without sounding negative in my comments?
I'd just leave a comment saying hey.. I just noticed you had the date wrong on your layout.. I wouldn't be offended I make mistakes like that ALLLLL the time hahaha.
LOL... If it's me you can tell me, I have a habit of getting dates wrong!
Like the other ladies said though, I wouldn't be offended at all if someone commented that on one of my layouts... nothing wrong with someone trying to be helpful IMO!
I usually PM someone if there's a spelling mistake or something...I know that I'd want to know if it was my layout. But since she doesn't allow PMs, then yeah, leave her a comment.
Sometimes I put the wrong date on purpose on the web version if it is a personal layout. But, if it is a world event I wouldn't and would definetely want someone to let me know.
When I used to paper scrap, I once put the wrong year of my sister's blessing day 3 TIMES on a layout! And no Photoshop to correct with! I still don't think I've corrected it for the 4th and final time. So, yeah, it's a really easy thing to do...
I think I might know which LO you're referring to, Amanda. I remember seeing a date typo and wondering if I should say something because it looked kind of important.
I'd certainly appreciate it if someone pointed it out to me in one of my LOs! I often mess up dates (like put Nov 2008 when I meant 2007) but I usually notice and fix them right away. When I do that, I rarely bother to update the web copy.
haha! Was it me?? I just did that on my latest LO, and when I showed it to DH after it was posted he said "Looks awesome, but why does it say 2009??".... Ooops!! I haven't bothered to re-upload it, but its right on my real LO !
It's me,lol. I wondered why Amanda'd pm'd me (she knows what I'm talking about, lol). I thought that was the right date, as it's what I thought it said on the info plaque for the site. I save everything I make in layers, so it'll be easily fixed.
Yep, we all make boo boos. Lord knows I make enough of em . I'll get the big one fixed. I'm glad it was brought to my attention.
