Emmy had her twins!

Hi girls - quick check in on the laptop. (Thanks for posting this thread Kim!)

The girls are precious - oh my gosh - I'm in love. Despite all the medical issues I had with my pregnancy they have no problems-we are so SO blessed. They haven't needed oxygen, no problem with heartbeats, no blood sugar issues, they had no issues with the blood compatibility problem, their thyroid function was unaffected by my problem or medication - I am just really so in awe.

They have developed some jaundice so we will continue on in the NICU for 2-3 more days - I think it's possible we'll get home Sunday-ish if they respond to the phototherapy well.

When I get home I'll write you all up a nice birth story of doing a "vag" delivery of twins with the 2nd one being footling breech. hahahaha! :p KIDDING. I will spare you the details. ;) Actually - it's what I really wanted and I"m pretty happy it worked out and I avoided a c section.

Heather - pretty sure they are fraternal, they look different enough to me, I really don't think they are identical.

Talk to you all soon!

Thanks for the details, Emmy. I'm dying for them, and so glad to know that with all the pregnancy issues, they are fine. Are you nursing? That must be insane!

I have to say that in the photo you posted on FB, it looks like Hazel could easily take Grace in a fight. I think it must be the point of view, but Hazel looks huge compared to Grace. It made me smile.
