Email account question

i don't know if anyone will have any answers for me, but i find this odd and annoying. we have Comcast internet. they give you an email address and we also have phone service. anyway, we signed up back in July. But i still get old emails from the person who must have had this email before? and the wierd thing is that his name is Chris Monroe. our last name is Monroe. the email is [email protected]. (cc stands for Corey and Chad, we use this a lot). i can't unsubscribe from most of these emails cause they involve sites that he was a member of and i obviously don't know his usernames and passwords. some of the emails i get are from a bank, an AT&T Uverse email about the bill being ready, personal emails from friends and family of his, and just other random stuff. its really quite odd. i have never had this happen before. it just bothers me that about half of my emails aren't even to me, they are too a stranger! i don't know if Comcast can do something about it or not.

That's odd. lol, it would probably annoy me too, and if it kept up, I'd probably just sit down one day and email everyone back, like family and friends, not automated mail, and let them know it isn't his account anymore! I don't know if comcast could do anything about it, other than maybe give you a different email addy??

lol, that what i was thinking of doing with the personal emails. but there isn't much i can do i dont think with the other automated ones. i hate to get a different email. i just think Comcast should have somehow stopped all those automated emails when that other person cancelled his account. i would think that the email would be inactive for awhile once that account was closed. its like they stole someones email and gave it to me, lol.
