So since it's December 1st and my blog post today is all about Elf on the Shelf ideas I thought it would be fun to have a post going where we can share our own Elf Adventures this year. I actually started the night our tree went up so I've got a few days done already to share (sorry if you're on facebook and seeing this twice)

I'd love to see everyone else's Elves up to their mischief! You can just add your photos everyday as you take them.

Our elf's name is Buddy..original I know but Avery named him and nothing I said could change his mind :p Here's what he's been up to so far:

Night 1 - Buddy arrived under the tree with a note from Santa

Night 2 - He made a "North Pole Breakfast" for the kids...donut holes with sprinkles and hot cocoa. (I wish I'd had time to get matching plates and cups but as it was I just went with what I had on hand)

Night 3 - Buddy helped himself to popcorn and a coke while he watched TV all night (when the kids got up I had The Elf on the Shelf movie playing)

Night 4 - He wrapped up the toilet with wrapping paper! (this was a huge hit with my kids...they thought it was hilarious)

Night 5 - Buddy stole Bullseye from Woody so Buzz tried to freeze him with his laser beam :)

So what's your elf up to??

WOW you are so creative! I am not near creative as that, he typically just sits somewhere LOL He'll be coming to visit for the first time tonight.

Day 1 he flew back from the north pole and landed on the Christmas Card holder, with a letter for the kids.

Day 2 Skippy found the poinsettia in the kitchen, I had school that night, that's what Sean came up with. ;)

Day 3, Hungry Hungry Hippos with friends

Day 4, Keira told skippy she lost her necklace under our bed and wanted to know if he could find it for her. Well, he did and decided to nap in the manger.

I really should do these in natural light, but the house is so dark at night, maybe I'll start waiting until the mornings to get the shots.

Elvin arrived this morning bearing gifts. he brought the lego star wars advent calendar that he is sitting on and not pictured, a bag of 24 holiday books to be read one a night as a family. elvin will be doing about a dozen fun things, but he will also just be moving around as well, sort of an every other day kind of thing

Ours showed up last night too and is waiting for the boys to find him, though Bella has found (and re-found lol) him 3 times so far this morning.

I want to do the goldfish one, too!!! :)

Here are mine from yesterday and today.

11/30 : Buddy used Parker's Little People ramp as a slide.

12/1 : Buddy doesn't like that it hasn't snowed here in Lexington and decided to try and change today's weather. (It's still sunny!)

Parker gets up at 6 for school and Naomi will be joining him soon when she starts school next week, but as of right now she doesn't get up at 6 when he does. So our elf returns while they are napping. It's what works for us for our schedules, but I get the added bonus that I have better light for the photos :)

Our elf made his debut today! Logan decided to name him Fredrick. :) He appeared under the Christmas tree with his book and a note from Santa.

Oh man, do you ladies have great ideas!!! *sigh* I think I'm going to be "swiping" a lot of these ideas!!! ;)

Ok, so Christopher returned the day after Thanksgiving...and I have to say, this year he is being extremely mischievous....

Day 1: He made a paper chain for the girls...

Day 2: So we found out that Christopher is dating Rosetta the fairy...and well, they apparently went and did some "parking"

Day 3: He totally did a pantie raid of the girls' room and decorated our tree with their panties...nice...luckily they were clean.

Day 4: He took a whole sleeve of dixie cups and made a tower...

Day 5: He drew on all of our pictures! Good thing he used a dry erase marker...

Day 6: He got into the chocolates

Day 7: He spent some time letting the other stuffed animals know what he was about...

OMG this is great! You guys are all so creative! I can't wait for our Elf to get here!

Oh, and Aaron, a panty raid?! HILARIOUS and very clever!

Love these!! Just sat here with the kids & looked at all the elf-antics. We hope when our elf gets here he/she is a little less mischievous, although mommy has the idea that it won't be. Apparently our elf is still stuck working at the North pole & hasn't made it down to stay yet. It did gift wrap the front door & leave a letter from Santa last night, telling the kids we would be here in the next few days.

(aka: we live in the sticks & mommy didn't order him, so is going shopping for him/her tomorrow afternoon)

You guys are having so much fun! Buddy showed up at our house Dec 1:

On December 1st, Buddy arrived..in our car! He parked all crooked across the driveway, probably because even with the stack of 6 Christmas books he brought from the North pole he still couldn't see over the steering wheel..

Buddy decided to make snow angels in our cupcake plate!

Darn it, guys! I wasn't going to do this. Tbh, the elf idea kind of creeps me out.

...but this is awesome, and now I kinda want to do it for Zach. Not this year, because this year he doesn't care. So that gives me time to think a little longer about whether or not I'm going to do this whole thing.

Here's Skippy this morning, having a shoot out with Buzz. (I couldn't find Woody, LOL!)

My house was so dark this morning, so ignore the high grain. I took one with flash too, but this looked better.

You girls made me want to do this so bad! I'm loving your creativity! I have yet to sell DH on the idea. I need to show him this thread. But for anyone who hasn't gotten one, he's 20% off right now at Barnes & Noble with this coupon until Monday. I picked one up today (shhhh... don't tell DH) that I will be returning should I not be able to convince him of how fun this will be!

You are all amazing parents...I wish my kids were younger because this is just awesome. Great ideas everyone! Traci, I especially love the elf driving the car.
