Let's share our Elf Adventures here :)

December 1 - Our elf Buddy made the kids a North Pole Breakfast. He also had a note from Santa explaining that he'd sent someone to keep an eye on Buddy this year. Santa explained that she was shy and they'd have to look for her really hard. Avery LOVED this..he was so excited and kept saying "Santa sent a female elf" lol...he cracked me up calling her female. She was hiding in the tree with a card with her name on it.

Very cute! Our elf just appeared on top of the microwave with a letter from Santa. Usually he arrives with a Lego Advent calendar but I forgot to get one until too late.

We almost had an elf crisis. I didn't find the elf until early this morning. My daughter was already up so I had to sneak her into the house along with the advent calendar. But a breakfast of pancakes distracted her. She appears to not know what happened including believing that she saw her when she woke up which I know is not true because I was still hunting her down!

Keira was at a sleepover last night and our tree isn't up yet. But we'll have our North Pole Breakfast tomorrow. i might steal some of your ideas Nikki!

First year doing this with my son (hes 7). I have everything ready, i typed up a letter from Santa put it in a box with the box and the elf. I made a label from Santa to my son and when hes not looking i am going to sneek it outside like he delivered just waiting for him to leave near the front door so I could do it.

I usually do Lego Advent calendars for Avery but this year I got him the K'nex (which was 20 bucks cheaper) and I got Ella a playmobil. Both haven't been delivered yet though b/c I forgot to order them til like 3 days ago lol so I guess they'll have to open a few days at once when they finally do get here.

Doing the same here... waiting for hubby to get home so he can ring the doorbell... I already pysched J up by having Rupert (number one bestie stuff lamb) telling Jake how much he hopes that elf doesn't show up... that elf is always watching and that means that they (Rupert and Jake) have to be really good... Rupert doesn't want coal in his stocking... :D I love this age...

Day 1 - Arrived by package, but it got a little stuffy so he was trying to bust out.

Day 2 - He put up a lighted tree on our wall.

Lol, we had a similar elf crisis to Liz and completely forgot til the kids were already up. Then I couldn't find him! Thankfully hubby was home to distract them while I went on a mad hunt thru the Christmas stuff!
So day 1, our elf arrived with advent calendars.

Day 2- Toby was taken hostage by the bad guys, but the superheroes were on their way to rescue him before he was squished by a train. (can you tell i have a 4 year old boy?lol)

Question tho, do your elves ever redo the same tricks they did in previous years? Or do u come up with all new ideas for him?

I try to come up with new ideas, but sometimes they are just slightly altered from something in the past. Pinterest is my friend for this :)

Here is our elf Emerald:

The Lego Advent calendar is now on the bar. Yeah I am so embarrassed to say I found the elf in a bag of packaging from the Santa presents from last year. I apparently crammed the elf in there and threw it out in the garage. I am just glad I found her! I was seriously panicking the last few days. Now to plan out what to do for the next few days.

Day 2- A new one for us. Sipping on some syrup!

Day 3- The Elf is held hostage by the toys to prevent her from sending a naughty report for my eldest to Santa. I feel kind of bad. I printed out these elf reports and I had my oldest having a naughty report and this morning when she saw it she started crying. I felt so BAD! But I recovered with the letter from Santa!

We've had our's back for a few days :) Please excuse the awful photos, I took these on my phone's camera (I haven't uploaded the pics from my camera yet)

This year we added a girl elf, so now we have one elf for each kid, matching genders...

This year Elfie came back on a sleigh with our new girl elf (which the kids named Snow).

We forgot to do anything with the elf last night and he was just laying on the table this morning when the kids got up. I said he was exhausted from making the trip here as he isn't used to it after 11 months off and was too tired to do anything.

My husband suggested next time we set a glass & a bottle of rye next to him and claim he partied too hard the night before. :)

What a great idea for a thread to share our photos (ie - give each other new ideas!) This is the first year we have adopted an elf. His name is "Bruce Wayne." (Our son is obsessed with Super Heroes.) I had plans to do a nice Welcome Breakfast for him yesterday, but after spending all Saturday at a Thanksgiving - I kinda dropped the ball on getting any good treats for the breakfast - so we went with an old Sunday Stand-By: Pancakes.) This morning, Stefan found him zip-lining. PS - I LOVE the idea of taking Toby hostage and tying him to the tracks! LOL!

Mine is still in the attic! ACK! I may just make it for the 2 weeks before christmas. I don't even have my tree up yet. So behind on this stuff!

Skippy made it this morning!
Apparently according to his letter he was helping Rudolph and Comet with some flying, preparing for Christmas Eve and he overslept!

Keira is so sweet, she had to mail him a letter with a little toy in it and a picture of him flying and a note since he didn't arrive yesterday, i think she was a little worried.

Dec. 1 - Arrived in the tree with a letter for the kids.

Dec. 2 - Hiding in a tricky spot.

Dec. 3 - Our elf has brought hot chocolate!

Candy Cane decided to try his hand at being a superhero and flying from the lampshade complete with a Candy Cane cape :)

I forgot to move the elf. I told the boys he's out of practice for making the trip to the north pole and back here every night and he got tired. But DH and I think it was this

This made me snort, lol!! Too funny

LOL! This is too funny! I think I will treat myself just like your elf if I make it all the way until Christmas without forgetting to "move him." I am not sure my three-year-old is quite appreciating the time and creativity it takes for me to "set up" our elf each morning before he gets up!

My kids keep saying, I hope Cindy Lou comes back this year....I sent her to live at the dad's house...so tonight, comes a special letter from the North Pole & tomorrow, I'm going shopping before I head home from work, hopefully, with a new 'elf' to keep us company this season.

Cute Nikki! That one is on my list too :)

Day 4: Christopher was racking up the chocolate coins with a late night game of Poker with his buddies.
