We have my oldest "spending time with her" in her room...cause if she sees it she literally will NOT be able to sleep for days! oh dear! Dh is gonna try n get it with a long fishing pole, wish us luck!

Ack!!!! I am terrified of spiders. That one is ginormous! We found a big one in our bedroom a couple weeks ago and I still think about it when I go to bed. Yikes!!!

thank, God, hubby got it and the littlest knew nothing about it, whew! Apparantly it is a banana spider, dh said... and it is a BABY! zoinks!

Holy Cow! I am so glad your husband took care of it for you. I have a thing about all bugs but especially spiders. If they are in my house they have to die. Outside I leave them alone.

Oh now! Why did I open this thread? I feel like there are spiders crawling on me now, and I just know that when I try to close my eyes tonight, those long spider legs are all I'll see!! Glad your DH got him!

omg banana spider's are horrible!! we had them on a bush outside of our house when i lived in Indiana. those little suckers would hop and they're AWFUL

My 6 year old is pretty afraid of spiders. Glad you got it before your daughter saw it!

I was sitting in bed one night reading. I looked over and this wolf spider as big as my hand was sitting right next to me in bed. It took me 20 minutes chasing the darn thing before I was able to finally get it and squish it. I didn't fancy the idea of sleeping with it. A few days later another, not quite as big but still good sized, was on my kitchen counter top... just sitting there. I took pictures of it to show DH. I haven't saw any around in over a year though, thankfully.

My grandmother is terrified of spiders. One night, when she lived in Florida, she woke up and there was a giant spider right on her face. She freaked out. They were really poor, but she scrapped together the money to call the experimenter.

I remember visiting her when she was like ten and she saw a little teeny tiny spider outside and totally freaked out. I was only like eight, but I had to go kill it for her. lol.

Eww! I had a big one in my bedroom a few weeks ago and I it disappeared while I went to get a tissue to kill it. Had trouble sleeping that night, then 2 days later, I found it in my shower. Yuck. I washed it down the drain and let the water run for hours afterwords to make sure it didn't come back up.

eww! I ahte banana spiders. We had one in our backyard last summer that was huge. They eat mosquitos though so DH refused to disturb it unless it came near our back door. Thank god the lawn guys weren't so picky and killed it for me, lol

omg, that is freaky scary! I always use my vacuum wand to suck up spiders. No way do I get close enough to touch them with a tissue. shudder.

that isnt a banana spider...this is:

we get those ones all the time. Ive always heard of it referrred to as common house spider

I don't care what kinda spider it is...it's flippin' freaky! ::shudder::

ewww!

We have huge wolf spiders where we live. I'm talking HUGE.

My dh and a couple boys are scared to death of spiders. It's my job to deal with them if they're home. They'll deal with rodents though, so it's a fair trade!!
