I don't remember hearing that Melissa from the Bachelor was in the cast of the new show? Gonna be a good season! What are your thoughts?
 
She was a last-minute addition because of an injury. I think she'll be a good contender though! I'm glad she's there. Like the judges said, Bachelor's loss is their gain!

I thought a lot of the others were really pretty bad. Hehe! It'll be interesting to see who improves and who stands out. I thought the judges were too hard on David Allen Grier -- he was really good and didn't get a high enough score.
 
I don't think that Melissa deserved as high a score as Shawn. She was good, but not that impressive, considering it was all ballet moves. It was a fantastic performance for how short of a time she had to prepare, however.

DAG was good, and I thought deserved higher marks than what he got.

I think Woz will be the first to go, which is fine with me, since, ick, Karina.

I really enjoyed SteveO and Gilles more than I thought I would, and I really think Gilles will be a contender. I thought Denise would do better than she did, so that surprised me.

Ty.. oh dear, ty. He's SO stiff, and I really really want him to do well so I hope he loosens up and just goes for it.
 
I think Denise was horrible. She surprised me.. she will be going if she doesn't do better.

I think Melissa did pretty well for not having much practice time.
 
I love Shawn and I thought she did great! Melissa too. I hope they both stick around.

I also love Holly, but she didn't do too well lol. She looked terrified!

Oh, and I could not believe the dress that Karina was wearing! Dh was even like "What is that she's wearing?!" lol!
 
I think Holly & Melissa did pretty good, considering the lack of time they had to prepare (compared to the rest of them). Did anyone else notice Jewel & Nancy whispering to each other after Holly danced? It almost looked like they were laughing at her (at least that's how it looked to me).
I was really impressed with SteveO and DAG - for a couple of jokers, they looked pretty polished up there!
 
Holly looked like an idiot. Totally screwed it up, and she had a week. Melissa looked like she'd been training for 3 weeks, not 48 hours.
 
I wasn't that impressed - there didn't seem to be a standout like there has been in previous years. I thought Shawn and Melissa and the guy Cheryl Burke danced with did a good job; they just didn't "wow" me. I thought Ty Murray was so cute and shy, but he was pretty bad. Maybe he'll loosen up a bit!
 
They all looked pretty stiff, but I'm sure they will soften up as they get more practice and feel more comfortable dancing in front of an audience. Obviously Melissa has a background in dance being a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader and having ballet training. They probably had to find someone with some experience in order to meet such a short deadline. I'm not completely dazzled by anyone yet. We shall see :)
