I'm having a pizza delivered LOL.

there's a $2.50 delivery charge. Do I still tip the delivery person? (not sure if I actually can . . . I might not have any cash )

thanks!

I usually do... but that's only cause I only ever manage to order in when it's like.. pouring.. or blizzard conditions & I live on t he 3rd floor.. haha I always feel bad LMAO

that delivery charge does not go to the driver. At least at Domino's it does not. So I would assume it is the same at most other pizza places. My daughter worked there at Domino's for a year (she quit in August) and she told me that when she started there because I always assumed that it went to the driver in case someone did not tip but she said no. She told me what the charge was for exactly but I cannot remember now.

oh good to know!

Yeah, the delivery charge does not go to the driver -- or at some places, they get a VERY small part of it for gas. So, PLEASE, do tip your pizza deliverer. My nephew does this and they make so little, so I always feel bad for him when he gets no tips.

duh me, I just added the tip to the credit card slip, all my fretting over low-cash stash was for naught.

My hubby was a Dominos pizza delivery boy for about 2 years when we first got married-so YES tip them and tip them well. I'm sure all the delivery drivers love our addy because I never ever give them less than $7 dollars but usually closer to $10.

Delivery charge = too lazy to go get your own pizza charge

:p

So yes, definitely tip your delivery person.

dang you are a GREAT tipper Shannon. I am usually in the $2-$3 range
Well-Like I said...Its a bit personal for me...I know how exciting it was when Scott would make upwards of 400 bucks in a weekend or how crappy it would feel when he would only bring home 150. Thats a big difference.

I only live 2 miles from the Dominos that delivers for me but I tip 5 dollars for a normal delivery. If I was a little farther away I would tip a bit more. If I lived in an apartment where they had to climb stairs Id tip more and if it is raining here (never snows since Im in Florida LOL) I tip a little more.
