some?

Cooper is getting a DS for Christmas, just a regular boring DS. LOL! I want to get him a few games, but cheap. he's asked for a Mario/Donkey Kong game, I got that and he wants the Legos Marvel game that comes out next month and I'll get that.

But I'm looking for one more game he might like. They have a Wii, so we have Mario Kart and Keira has Super Mario for her DS, so they can share. I'm leaning toward a Sonic game, but I honestly don't know what to get him. He's 5 1/2. :)

Thanks girls!

Get used ones at Gamestop... or find friends that have games that they can borrow. This way they try out, and love a game before you buy it.

My 5 year old likes Batman Lego, MarioKart, Mario, Plants versus Zombies, Mickey and Skylanders. (We have a bunch of characters that can be used for multiple games, like the Wii and iPad.) We also have Scribblenauts... but that I help him with.

I've heard good things but haven't tried Professor Layton.

I've been looking on EBay. We have some of those for the wii. He is obsessed with Skylanders. :). I will check these out

Kyle is 6 and he likes to play Lego Batman 1 and 2, Lego Ninjago Battles, Digging for Dinosaurs, Spongebob Atlantis Squarepantis and a few of his sisters games like ZhuZhu Pets. And I agree about used games from GameStop if you have them in your area. We've found lots of gently used games for cheap for the kids there or if they get bored with a game you can trade for something different.

Thanks! I ordered Digging For Dinosaurs from Amazon for $12. I think that'll be perfect.

I agree with the Lego games. Luke loved those when he was 5-7ish. I asked him for recommendations and he says: You already said the Lego games. And Kung Zhu, New Super Mario Bros, Plants v. Zombies, Scribblenauts. :)
