Dreaded EHD Crash

The EHD that I had hooked up to my desktop PC took a crap a few weeks ago. Of course, at first I panicked just because, well, it's scary not to be able to see those files (I know every person that reads this will understand ;)).
I have used Backblaze for years - so ordered an EHD to be sent to me as I've had to in the past.
It arrived a few days ago and the drive is corrupt. I'm so frustrated! After going back and forth with them via chat (because for the life of me I cannot find a phone # to call to actually speak with someone!) for 3 or 4 days they now tell me they'd give me credit and I should order another one. Obviously I'm waiting for the credit before ordering another.
In the meantime with DSD coming up I thought I'd restore a bunch of photos. Once the restore was ready they recommended downloading the Backblaze Download App - supposed to be faster. I've been struggling to get that downloaded because it won't take my password (which I'm 100% sure is correct).
Not a great experience whatsoever with them - but I guess the important thing is my files are safe!!
 
Oh my!! So sorry it was so frustrating!! Glad you are getting your files! I have had to order the black blaze ehd a few times and luckily it has always been okay.
 
I'm sorry that happened and so close to DSD! I hope you get it sorted out soon.


I got a cloud service after my HD failed this year. Now I can just log in from any computer to get my files.
 
oh Jill... so sorry for you my friend. I hope that credit comes through asap and you can get a new EHD asap. big hugs xx
 
How frustrating! But I'm glad that you'll be able to get your files even if it takes longer than it should.
 
Uggh, that stinks. After a few HD fails, I moved all of my files to the Amazon Cloud. I like that it's accessible from pretty much anywhere.
 
Oh no, that is so frustrating :( so sorry the Backblaze EHD is corrupted. Hoping you will be able to get a replacement soon.
 
Oh, Jill! I'm so sorry. How frustrating that is! I really hope Backblaze gets things straightened out. I have Backblaze, too, and it doesn't make me feel secure that you're having issues with them.
 
Awww Jill, so sorry! What a hassle!! I hope you can get them back soon and am just glad that you did have them backed up!!! =)
