DQOTD: What tops your tree?

We have an angel. I bought it right after I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. It's like a memorial to that little one that we lost. I just wish now, I'd bought a nicer one than the one I did, but it's got sentimental value in a big way for me.

Our kids just picked out a colorful star for ours the other day.

A star. I really like our star but would love to find the perfect angel for the top of our tree. I'm just super picky and have yet to find one that I really love.

I collect snowmen, and we have a really cute snowman made out of a piece of pressed tin (like they use on ceilings in old houses) on top of our tree. I love it!

We have a star - it seems everyone we know has the exact same one, like EVERYONE. *LOL* This pretty gold star from Canadian Tire. It was the best we could find without spendinging a fortune. Another year I'll find something I like better. We have a LOT of ribbon on our tree, so I think I need something more solid for the top, you know? DH is awesome about decorating though, he actually wanted me to decorate a tree like we saw in a hotel, with lots of magenta and pink ribbon and big gold and pink glass balls and a bow on top! I couldnt' part with my favourite ornaments this year, maybe for a secondary tree next year.

lol! I have that star as a topper, except it's silver. Got it at Canadian Tire too!

We found this really cool glittery star thing because we didn't want a gawdy lighted star (don't know how to explain them but gawdy! lol!) or a corny doll-like angel, so we were really happy when we found the star. Plus, it isn't super-huge, so it isn't hitting our some-what low ceilings.
