Don't you love waiting for UPS...

All day and somehow you MISS it?!!?!?!?!? Or they don't even try? I sat in my living room with the blinds open all afternoon and I stayed home in the morning... and still missed it! I'm so frustrated because now I get to do the same thing all day tomorrow! Oh well. I'm sure it happened in the 1 minute I put my girls down for naps (really 1 minute) but they always knock SO loud or ring the doorbell... and yeah, I didn't hear a thing.

Thanks for listening, I just needed to vent.

I cannot stand UPS around here. Because one of their employees stole the very first package "delivered" here (it had to have been her, my door doesn't face a road or even my driveway. It's well hidden, so packages are well hidden. My neighbors were away for the week...it couldn't have been anyone else. I hope she's using my Bare Minerals in good health...no, I hope that she's itching like crazy from the Bismuth in them and has no clue what's causing the itch. Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha!), I now have to sign for everything. Everything...even if it's just a box with paper clips. :cursing: To add insult to injury, the rest of the route drivers (we're on a random route, it goes to "leftover" drivers each day) are a bunch of big fat liar heads. I'm home all day, every day, with rare exception. I don't drive, there's no mass transit on this side of town, I can't be anywhere but home. Yet, somehow...I always manage to miss the delivery attempts. Never mind the fact that my doorbell never rings or that there's rarely one of those putrid little yellow slips stuck to my door...I miss them. Bah! I don't miss them, they just don't bother coming to the door!!!!!

:cursing: :cursing: :cursing:

Um, ok...I think I'll go take a sedative now.

When I ordered a few things within the same time frame, the FedEx guy always came at 2:05, 5 minutes after I had to leave to pick up my daughter from school. Twice I missed him, but the 3rd time (1 was case & mouse, 2 was getting replacement mouse and the 3rd was the Wii) I was NOT waiting to get the Wii! He turned the corner just as I was in the opposite direction so I did a U-turn and rushed back to my house to meet him. LOL

My husband is right there with you! He's home all day most days (except when he's interviewing). He likes online ordering, so he has a number of packages get sent. The only time a UPS or FedEx guy knocked on the door was when it was a substitute driver! They just leave the stuff on the doorstep - whether it's a weather station or DirectTV receiver, they'll just leave it there without knocking!!! He's called many times to complain, but it seems to fall on deaf ears...

If he hasn't already, suggest that he request a call from the local delivery office. Those 800 numbers are just a big call center, they don't get much done for you there. Speaking to the management at the local hub though...that gets their attention!! I'm on a first name basis with all the managers there, lol!!

I'm right there with ya. Dish sent em out to pick up their receiver. First day I was upstairs because hubby didn't warn me, so I'm calling out one minute! Not realizing what a JERK head my UPS guy is...nope missed him. 2nd day...run this time...and nope...I get out there...and he's already back at his truck...wanna know what really got me? HE DIRECTLY looked at me and STILL drove away! How b/s is that? So then I called the 800 number who assured me that even though that was "Final attempt" (snorting at the term attempt) that he would take another shot Monday. I still have the receiver.

Ack...that stinks. Like Paula I love my UPS guy too. DH gets stuff daily for work so we see him all the time and are on a first name basis. He always has a sweet word for my kids, has "tossed" the ball with my older girls and always patienlty answers my oldest DS's questions!! Even when he askes the same ones several days in a row!!:D

Well, UPS doesn't even deliver to here. LOL!

I'm pretty impressed though, because we ordered some Wii controllers and nunchucks, and I needed to have a physical address, so we sent them to DH's work...but I stupidly put DH's work addy but our town/postal code (he works in the next town over). I thought for sure there would be a major screwup because I couldn't correct the address, and the shipped it to the one I screwed up on...but nope, they delivered it a day early, and to the right address (without even calling to find out what was going on). Woot! :) So, we got the nunchucks...the controllers are coming today or tomorrow.

Our UPS guy is fine, now. Before him we had a lady who claimed she couldn't turn the truck around in our driveway and used to leave things at the end of it. Our driveway is an eigth of a mile long. You can't see the road from my house, so I never had any idea if something was delivered or not. The thing that really irritated me is she would claim she left it with me. I lost a swimsuit package from Land's End that she apparently just tossed onto the side of the road by the mailbos, but when I called to report it missing, UPS says "According to the report she left it with you." GGGRRR.. she gets on the phone & immediately starts in about not being able to turn around in my driveway (which is BS, every other UPS driver before & since has managed it just fine) and going onn as if it is *my* fault the package was lost. When she was done with her driveway tirade I asked her just how then did she manage to get the package into my hands? Leave the truck in the street and walk? She never delivered to us again.

At least it's not DHL. Worst. Service. EVER!

Drove by my house, saw that my dogs were in the yard and didn't even stop. Um, one tap on your horn and I'd have been out there, that's what every other courier company does. My husband was a courier for years when I first met him, so I know all the little tricks of slackers who can't be bothered to do their job right, because Craig and the other good drivers were usually making up for said losers. It was Friday, he wanted to get home, any excuse not to do a delivery and cut a few more minutes off your day.

DHL does not return the next day. They just leave a message on your phone late that night saying you have to come to their warehouse if you want it. Their warehouse that is in the most awkward to find, creepy industrial area with no parking. The warehouse that you got crappy directions to from the super snotty b!$*# who told you it wasn't her problem the package wasn't delivered and it doesn't matter why, they absolutely do not try a second time.

My UPS guy is awesome. Never a problem with deliveries and goes out of his way to check if I'm home and try and get it to me.
