Don't throw away your junk mail!

without opening it, that is...I just found CASH in one of my junk mails!

So what if it is only $1? ;)

I just opened some junk mail and it was saying someone would be calling me in a few days to ask me to participate in a survey about the music I like to hear on the radio. It was forwarded from my old address, so I can assure you nobody will actually be calling me.

But I was about to throw it away when I saw in the window a new and crisp $1 bill. I inspected it (looking for the marks to see it was real). I grabbed the letter back and read the postscript: Please accept the small token of appreciation we have enclosed with this letter.

Cool beans! Imagine all of the dollars I may have thrown away over the years

That's all.

I'm going to spend my dollar now.

We got a call about doing then Nielsen's Ratings (I think that's how you say it) and they said we would get a small compensation for our "time". They sent us $50 bucks cash in the mail just to fill out that silly book for 3 days!!!

that's how the hook ya into opening junk mail forever! seriously. i took a research methods class in the family studies department in college and that was something the professor told us. And also, if you send out the money WITH the survey, more people are likely to complete the survey because they have been "paid" for it. anyway... just thought i would share that little tidbit of information!

Yep, I did that radio survey ... think I got $4 out of it. Do I open my junk mail? Yep. Do I read it? I skim it, then toss it in the recycling. Especially if they're telling me I may have won a vehicle at a dealership. LOL.

But yep ... the radio one is the real deal! :)

I did that...got one for everyone in the house and after they sent me more money I think I ended up with 25 dollars to keep track of what music station I listened to for a week
