So I searched and only came up with the one thread (I'm sure there are more)
but it sounded like a movie was coming out, but aren't these books??

do help!!! LOL

what are they about and all the rave sure sounds like something I should be reading!!

Can someone point me in the right direction...?
 
Oh be warned they are very, very addictive to read!!! I just started the series last week and I am almost done with book 4!! I am getting nothing else done and staying up way to late reading.
 
ahh now to find them locally I HATE waiting.....

PLUS the kids are at the in-laws tonight, some reading while hubby is watching sports center!!

Stephenie Meyer is the author :).

Definitely a romance! They are sooo good!

There are 4 books to the series by Stephenie Meyer - Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse & Breaking Dawn. They are extremely addicting, I read Twilight in about 4 hours! And then the movie based on the first book comes out November 21st!!
 
omg...I was just checking out our library website and it looks like some of the books have like 89 holds on them...

Um I have no issues buying LOL

I grabbed all 4 of mine at Wal-Mart and they were not that expensive at all. I got the first 2 in paperback for 7 something each and the last two in hardback for almost 14 each.
 
Woot! I have all 4 in glossy hardback! They've made the rounds through my DH, Mom and Sister and they still look brand new...I instilled the fear of God in them to keep em immaculate but turns out anyone who reads them treats them like the holy grail anyway...hahahaha

I only own the last one, the first three I checked out from the library here & didn't have to hardly wait for them at all. Our hold list wasn't nearly as long as yours Kim! I plan on buying the first three in hard cover so I'll have the full set. I'm already wanting to reread the series!!

They really aren't too much though even in hard cover, Overstock has the first three for $11.39 each, the fourth for $12.59 and shipping is only $2.95!
 
oh and the bank is on the way to Walmart...(aka hubby got paid)... So I can afford to buy them

That's exactly what I was going to say. lol I'm about 3/4 the way through the 3rd book, Eclipse, and am LOVING them. I know I'm going to go through withdrawls when I'm done with all of them. I always get a tad depressed when I finish a series of books. Like when Friends or Sex and the City ended. lol I miss the characters so much.
 
The depression does get better...it's been about 2 weeks for me and it's pretty much gone, although I did start reading Twilight over again to help with it :) I'm not in a huge rush to read it this time though...
 
guess what I just bought...

ALL 4 BOOKS!
first two in soft back ($8 or less each)
and the 2nd two books are hardback and right at $14

SO GUESS WHAT I'M DOING TONIGHT!!!!
 
You're going to love them!!! I have already gone back and reead piece parts to all 4 books again and I'm so addicted I may get Twilight on Audio CD and put it on my IPhone just to have whenever!!!! I can not stop reading these things!!!! and have you all read the 1st chapter of her 5th book, Midnight Sun???? It's not an official version of it, but it's really interesting. It will make you want to go reead at least the 1st chapter of Twilight again!!! and her other book the Host is really good too
 
I was surprised at how thick (long) the books are...

looking forward to getting back into reading (normally only read while on vacation for one week in July) LOL
 
I just started Twilight last week, Kim!! I'm right with you on just now getting started. I have found myself heading to bed early every night (and VERY little keeps me from spending my time scrapping after DS goes to bed!) just so I can keep reading. I just wish I could stay awake longer once I start. I literally fell asleep mid-page last night and the book fell on top of me and woke me up. :P I even TiVoed the DNC to read... I'm a politics JUNKIE, so that shows you how much I'm enjoying them. I finally get what all the fuss has been about!

I bought my first 3 at the Dallas Forth Worth Airport... hehehehe

Another one newly addicted to the Twilight series. :) I haven't devoured a guilty-pleasure reading book like this in a LONG time. I love it!!
 
Oh, you definitely need to read them! I just finished reeading the first three and am getting ready to start the last book.
 
I have 3 of the 4. I just started reading Twilight yesterday on the beach and am halfway thru already so I am bummed because I left the others at home!

OH NO! THERE ARE FOUR OF THESE THINGS?!

i just finished the first one, and i'm clearly going back to the bookstore tomorrow for the rest, but I'm pretty sure they only had THREE titles when I was there earlier. :confused: That means I'll ahve to wait...oh i am terribly sad about this.

DOES THE FOURTH ONE WRAP UP THE STORY? IS IT THE END? I'm dying here folks. Just dying.
 
I just finished reading all 4 books in a row. Yes, the 4th book ends the series.

While I didn't like them nearly as much as the HP series, these were good, easyeading books that I enjoyed very much.
