Dog guards owner's body for six weeks?!?!

aww that makes me sad...it is amazing how much an animal does love its owners. I know my cat is kinda like that. She thinks I should be holding her all day long and all I have to do is whistle or click my tongue and she comes running and jumps into my arms or on my lap

awww, that was sweet. Dogs are very loyal. We have a golden retrieiver and though it can be annoying, he is pretty loyal. and jealous; if DH pays any attention to the kids or me (i.e. holding them, playing with them or hugging me) the dog tries to get in the middle cause he wants DH to pet him. its annoying! lol

What a sad story!!!! Okay... WHY would the guy take his dog out there if he planed to commit suicide? Did he want the dog to die, too? That just doesn't make sense. Usually people who commit suicide do it alone, without any witnesses, including pets. OR he would shoot the dog first and then himself... Seems a bit fishy to me. Anyway... not the point of the story, I realize.

Dogs are really amazing. Wouldn't it be wonderful if humans were half as faithful as dogs?

Aww, sad but sweet.

I have 2 dog. One very loyal. The other one would prolly go through my wallet and hit the town if something happened to me.

This is really sad, sweet about the dog. But the guy left behind his 2 year old son and wife. Sad. I hope it was something other than suicide.

Aww that's so sad - dogs are so amazing!

I got a dog a few years ago from this girl whose mom had passed away. Her mom had the dog for like 10 years or something and when they found the woman dead the dog had been by her side, she had been dead for over 2 days and supposidly they found the dog right by her side laying down. The dog had not gone to the bathroom anywhere in the house at all in those two days, she was just there laying next to her owner - so sad :( She was an amazing dog too, we had her for a bit.
