Does anyone still Tweet?

There used to be a lot of activity amongst the digiscrappers on Twitter. But, it all seems to have moved to Facebook these days, and I'm just wondering how many of you have Twitter accounts that you actually use on a regular basis. What kinds of things do you Tweet about? How is it different from Facebook for you? Sometimes I think I'd like to get back to using Twitter more, but then I think that I'd just be posting the exact same things that I put on Facebook, so there's really no point.

Just wondering out loud here today. :D

Yeah........I am no longer on twitter. I even cancelled my account. Seemed I was always getting spam or hacked, so I stopped. I put it all on FB now.

I hate twitter - it makes my ever present ADD tendencies flare. I keep the account only to stalk a single celebrity, otherwise I don't use it any longer.

I miss those days of everybody being on twitter! We had a lot of fun over there. For some reason I haven't gotten super chatty on FB - maybe because I need to make my friends into groups? I don't know! LOL

Yeah - I've been thinking of just deleting my account too. I never use it, and I get some follow requests from weird people. My account is private, so I don't get tons of spam, but I do get some when other people that I've approved get hacked.

I must not follow the right people because I don't remember Twitter ever being popular with digiscrappers. :D

I actually really like Twitter but I don't really "tweet" out that often. Part of the reason I like Twitter is it's a bit more professional/brand focused than Facebook. Not to say that people don't post personal things too but it seems like the people I follow share a good mix of inspiring links, news, images, etc where as FB seems to always be baby updates/political rants/random rants, etc, LOL. Plus I like how with Twitter I can easily make lists or follow specific hashtags which makes it much easier for me to find information I care about. Facebook is kind of a crap shoot in that regard.

i haven't opened tweetdeck in MONTHS. between facebook and YIM i don't need another distraction LOL
i use my lists A LOT on facebook

I'm curious who you follow, Lynnette. Care to share a few of your favorites?

I prefer FB because at least I know who is following me. On Twitter I have so many followers and I don't know who 95% of them are. Makes me a little leery to post something even remotely personal. I still tweet occasionally but don't have the time to devote to it anymore.

I signed up a long time ago and I never really used it. i don't think I've ever tweeted anything, but I have re-tweeted a few things. I barely ever even log in, so I may as well not even have it.

Well I mostly follow a mix of bloggers I like, some local stuff and some of my favorite paper scrappers/crafty types like Ali Edwards, Kelly Purkey, Elise Blaha, etc. Debbie Hodge (@GetItScrapped) always has good scrapbookingelated links - lots of tutorials and such.

I do find it funny that almost all of the big paper scrapbooking industry names are on Twitter but almost no one from digital is. You'd think we'd be the more tech-saavy ones. :D I wish there were more digiscrappers though! I think it's a good way to gain exposure to a larger circle than just our digi bubble.

Lynnette - I think it's more because we're so incestuous compared to the paper industry LOL Not everyone, mind you, but we're so much more involved..and started here and on facebook and people tended to stay there.

LOL, that's true. That's why I like it though, because I get exposed to a wider variety of ideas than just what we have going on here at SSD. Not that this isn't my home but it's nice to mix things up too. :)

All the FB pages I admin automatically post to Twitter and I post from Pinterest to Twitter, so I still use it for business purposes. As far as personal, I follow certain "famous" people but rarely post on it myself. So I don't use it to keep up with friends.

I never understood twitter, just seemed easier to Facebook. I didn't understand the difference, but admittedly, I never really checked into it.

I still have my account, but admittedly I've used it a lot less. I treat it like my RSS feeds, because like someone mentioned there are lots of useful links, images, etc that get tweeted. And um, I use it to keep track of my Kpop favorites & news :p

I rarely use my account ..lately I just use it to read celebrity gossip when I get bored at work...lol!
I know I used to use it to catch upon digi sales, new releases and have won a few free kits. It's definitely a ghost town now....FB took over, but sometimes I even feel lost on FB.
