You are in SO much trouble!
I would love to chat with my CTs & such, but since Hello wasn't Mac compatible, I just got used to being out of the loop. I have an AIM account for iChat but I hardly use it. It takes up too much time, and I feel like I have to stay at my computer. And I don't get enough done as it is. But I may join in at sometime since I am a sucker for peer pressure![]()
I used to not chat, Sarah, because back when Hello first came out and everyone was getting it, I thought, "I do not need one more thing to eat up my time!" Big mistake on my part; I could have been cool soooo much sooner, lol.
Now I don't browse forums as much because I get the goods from my friends on Hello. So chatting doesn't make me spend more time on the computer; it just helps me to better use my time spent on the computer.
Plus, you know how sometimes you see a layout and you just NEED to comment on it, like, "Someone needs to tell her that 10 year olds are too old for full frontals." Things you want to say but that are too tacky to post on a public board. You get to say those to your IM friends without anybody's feelings getting hurt. That's my favorite thing about IM, lol. Oh, that and the friendships I've made.![]()
I don't chat either. I hate feeling like an outsider here, but as it is I already feel like I need intervention for my serious addiction. I could spend allll day and night on here scrapping and reading message boards (oh, and shopping)- how can I possibly fit in chatting?
I don't know how you all do it. I guess I am a pretty poor manager of my time![]()
You're not an outsider 'cuz you don't chat! Lots of us don't.I don't think it's necessarily about time management either, it's just about what works for you and what you enjoy doing and WANT to fit into your schedule. I have friends who say "gosh, I just don't know how you find the time to scrapbook, I wish I had all that extra time to just play with"....well...you do if you make time (and don't do other things, like say watch TV at night or clean LOL j/k), we all have busy lives- it's just about priorities (IMHO).

I don't chat either. I have only used Windows Live Messenger and just have my family members listed. I don't think I would get any scrapping done otherwise. Plus, I am like Laurie...I am shy and have always been socially challenged. I don't usually have much to say.

In the immortal words of 'Steel Magnolias'... if you don't have anything nice to say, come sit by me!!![]()
I don't chat, I don't really have time. And more than that, I'm afraid that even if I DID add people, and stuff, no one would want to talk to me!! *LOL* but I realize I miss out here a lot, and its harder to make friends when I don't chat...
Totally feel out of the loop here sometimes, but I'm slowly catching on.![]()
I think we might be kindred spirits, LeeAndra. You and Emmy should hop on a plane and head out to Borneo.
And Colleen, I can't get the smilies to load for me because my Internet provider DESPERATELY NEEDS COMPETITION, but I {wub} you, too. though I'm not sure how to feel that the Viagra cartoon made you think of me.We should chat more, too, because I get the feeling we might have a lot to say to each other.

Hey, just wanted to say, anybody interested in getting their feet wet in the chatting world, feel free to give me a go! I LOVE to chat. You may be wishin' you'd never called my name by the end of it, but I promise not to bite.
I'm joelsgirl on Hello and jkturner7 on yahoo and WaterfallChaser on Windows Live Messenger.
