Do you use moisturizer?

Me too! I just started taking Accutane :( I finally had had it after trying about everything I could! That's the reason my skin is so dry right now. Accutane basically temporarily shuts down oil production from your Sebaceous glands and then once you finish your round of treatment, you regain some oil production, but at a much reduced rate. It's effective permanently after one round of treatment on 75% of patients.

I hope it works for you Sheri...I have been pondering Proactive. I have heard good and bad things.

Thanks Sammi! I tried Proactiv, but it didn't work for me and it bleached out some of my linens :( ... but it works really well for a lot of people. You can also find less expensive drugstore equivalents (with the same active ingredients).

I second Hope in a Jar! I love this stuff! I have combo skin and this works amazingly well for me - I keep stocking up on it just so I never run out.

I also use Oil of Olay. I'm thinking about switching to something else though. I have uber sensitive skin and can only wear Bare Essentuals make up, everything else makes me break out.

anything from the Luxiva line...omg, the best!

That being said, I also love the Oil of Olay that comes in the jar, not the bottle. I use the sensitive skin jar...BUT I have to make sure that I don't have anything with SPF in it. My skin seriously feels like someone has put sulfuric acid on it if I wear ANY kind of SPF on my face. Horrible but the exact reason I have so many freckles lol.

I use the Oil Cleansing Method to clean and "moisturize" my skin. I was sooo skeptical at first, but several friends from my cloth diapering board swore by it, so I tried it. I am totally hooked! I urge everyone to at least try it. There are formulations for every skin type, and you make the cleansers with oils you probably have in your home anyway!

Another Q10 user here and I love it! I will say that I don't use it as much as I should, mostly when I know I will be wearing makeup...which doesn't happen all too often anymore...I don't tend to get dry unless I've not had enough water intake.

I use the Clinique 3 step program. If I am really dry I use Oil of Olay's Night of Olay. I will also use Vaseline or Neosporin on flaky spots.

My great grandmother had beautiful skin and used Pond's Cold Cream.

My skin went wacko when I was pregnant with my daughter and 7+ yrs later it's still a little crazy. Terribly dry and splotchy but Proactiv has helped a bunch. I use their million steps of stuff and it works pretty well for the face. I have tried pretty much everything non-prescription and I love Bath and Body works Look Ma No Hands for my hands, elbows, etc...
