Using die cuts or heavy paper stickers rather than felt for the little decorations?

I looked at the felt today at Joann's and Michaels and I'm just not that crafty.

I think I could probably manage the pockets and Ric Rac around the edges.

You know I was just thinking that you could make that totally out of paper as well. For the pockets you could use little coin envelopes and then just decorate the envelopes. Save on a lot of cutting.

Honestly? No. I don't think you have it in you for something so elaborate.

HAAAAAAAAA! Just totally kidding. That is adorable and you HAVE to make it!

LOL!!!

I think I'm going to buy all the stuff for it when I get paid on Friday. Watch it cost more than ordering the one from Pottery Barn. LOL!

That is really cute Vanessa! You should totally try it!

I would love to do one for Christmas too Kellie! LOL!

My MIL actually made one for Sean and his sister when they were kids. Hold on, I grab a picture of it.

Here's another one I found, I've seen the cookie sheet ones before. This is a Christmas one of course, but I think this might be easier.

er - for the completely helpless here (waving hand) how to start with the cookie sheet one? are the daily items magnets, then? or do they come off?

I yeah the dailys are magnets, I think thats the one I'm going to try.

I'm going to get die cuts or the paper/cardboard stickers and just attach magnets to the back. I'll go find it again to get you some instructions.

that is TOO cute! i wanna make one, for christmas too. the kids would love it! i'm crafty; i could probably handle the felt, lol. but i really adore the cookie sheet one. I'm going to make one. its just too cute not too!

Why do you have to be crafty to deal with felt? LOL!
You ladies crack me up. If you can use scissors and a hot glue gun or needle and thread, you can make the felt one. Have a little self confidence!

it's not hard to be crafty! you're a digi scrapper are you not? thats being crafty, somewhat, lol. I have always been very crafty. i have made jewelry, doll clothes for my girls' barbies (hand sewn, no sewing machine. in fact i've never used a sewing machine!), signs for their bedroom doors, etc. i love crafts. i frequent Hobby Lobby, and just picked up an application to work there the other day!! woo-hoo!

This is adorable! I'd make one with paper instead of felt so part of it could be digital. But I am not a hybrid gal so I always look for a way to do it digital!
