Do you get colds often?

This is my THIRD since moving to Colorado in December.

I swear, I never get colds. What gives?

We moved about 30 miles away in September and I've been sick ever since with colds. I finally saw a doctor and they said it's allergies...mainly that I'm allergic to dogs. The previous owners had 2 little dogs and our home was making me sick.

Could be something like that. Or a sinus infection. I'd definitely call a doctor.

Yea always sick..but mostly due to allergies I tend to not be proactive about which in turn becomes an infection of some sort.

i wonder if your body is adjusting to the altitude and things?

I wonder about that too. I suspect the altitude is causing some other weird aches too. It's also REALLY dry here. Maybe my sinuses are used to more protection from little viruses or something.

Have you ever tried taking any of the zinc products that help boost your body's immune response to colds? (Cold-eeze, Zicam, and some other brands) This is one of the few homeopathic medicines that I swear by. You start taking them at the first sign of a cold, and you should have milder symptoms and get over the cold more quickly.

I always wondered if those really work or not.

I take a zinc supplement too. I think it's helped!

Eversince winter came I had an on and off again cold, cough and flu, thankful now winter is over. But hey, it snowed today.

I was all smug about not getting any colds all winter and then BAM -- back to back colds in March. I am just getting over the second and never going to congratulate myself on "staying healthy all winter" again. Pretty sure the universe is laughing at me.
