Do you "clean out" your gallery?

I'm just wondering if people "clean out" their galleries periodically ... and if so, how often? Is there a down side to leaving all of your LOs in your gallery?
 
I've cleaned out my gallery before... got rid of a few LOs I hated/didn't think represented my current style. I've done it before CT calls... lol. But, I don't mind a few of my older LOs still sitting there even though I'm not going to print them b/c it's fun to see how far I've come in just a few months.
 
Nope! I've got layouts in my paper layout gallery from back in 2003. And actually I had an older gallery before that, but I lost the layouts when the site closed. And over at DST (my first digi gallery), I've got pages from when I first started digi 2 years ago. I like having everything in there. It's fun to look back and see how far I've come.
 
My gallery at DST goes back to Dec 06 when I started uploading layouts..I actually started digi in 2005 though...but even so I've got almost 900 layouts in my gallery at DST. I've deleted some occasionally that I just didn't like anymore but most of them are still there.
 
Nope I dont delete them either :) I agree ... its fun to see how much you have changed since you started.
 
I agree I don't delete mine either. I really love to see how my styles grown or changed. Some of them are really bad esp at dst LOL. All growing pains.
 
nope...never occured to me...I have over 600 Lo's at ACOT..I like to se ehow far I have come!
 
All mine are still there, even the horrible ones. I don't really ever go back looking at them so I guess I just forget about them. I still don't think I would ever delete them though.
 
Nope, I leave them all. I mean, you can see the dates to see that some LOs are very old and might not be your current style.
 
I really haven't enough to merit it,lol. But it's odd; at DST I have twice had galleries deleted and have had to start over again. Not that they were that good, but they just poofed,lol.
 
Yes! Actually, I do it on average of every 3-4 months. Scrapping is more an artistic outlet for me than it is a preservation art. In fact, I have never had more than 3 layouts printed, ever!
Sure, one day I'll have them all printed but for now, I'm happy enough with just scrapping my photos.
I feel like my gallery should be a representation of my best or favorite pieces (since it's mostly an art for me), therefore I do clean it out about 3-4 times a year.

Are you sure your LOs didn't just get archived? They do that every so often and your older LOs won't show up when you click on "my photos"... you have to go down to the bottom and click on "Click here to see all of [username]'s photos" and then you can see your whole gallery.
 
I've cleaned out a few times. I have a few layouts I did for teams and didn't love and ended up deleting them later--but I keep most.
 
I have never completely cleaned mine out, but I have deleted a few...I still have most of my old ones though...just not all of them. :)
 
I definitely dont have that problem yet lol
Hopefully some day that will become a dilemma lol
 
I went through a tough time in the beginning of the year-scrap world speaking-and went through my galleries and deleted a ton of stuff, but I haven't touched it since then and have not plans to do so.
 
Nope, but I have some from back when i first started digi-scrapping in Fall 2006 that i never bothered to upload to any galleries (I didn't discover the "community" aspect of digiscrapping until Mid-Summer 2007) because I just didn;t love them. I like keeping mine in my galleries to see how far I;ve come but also to make my galleries appear a little more full lol.
 
Nope, I've never cleaned out my gallery. I've never really thought to. I have over 520 layouts in my DST gallery from July 2006 and it's kinda fun to see how far I've come :)
 
Nope, haven't cleaned out so far (well, except for one horrid LO that I HAD to do for my MIL :blink:). That's all, though!
