DIY luggage tags

Ok...so I saw this post by Joana where she made her own luggage tag for Disney. We are going in December and want to do this for my family. Have you ever made your own luggage tags and what type of tags did you use? I see they have heat laminating tags and then just saw some that were self adhesive. If you have done the laminating tags is there a way to do them without having a laminating machine?

Amber, I bought a package of luggage tags that were self-adhesive. SOOOOO easy to use! I think you could use clear contact paper if you didn't want to laminate them, or if you have an educational supply store near you, they often have lamination services. You could print them and take them there.

LMK if you have any questions!

ETA: Sorry for the late response - last week was crazy busy.

Thanks Joana! I think I will get the self laminating luggage tags and give me a try!

Office stores also laminate - it isn't expensive at all. Staples has about 3 weights too - the heaviest would be great for luggage tags (Use a corner rounded punch to round the sharp corners if you laminate).

Oh thats great to know. When I think of laminating I think of the stuff we have at preschool that is pretty thin. That definitely wouldnt work for luggage tags. Thanks for the tip Heather!

I've made luggage tags a few times. Here's the ones I made for my kids when they got their pilot bags. I just printed each side, adhered them together and then laminated with my laminating machine. Going to Kinkos, Office Depot or somewhere else would work too! I tied these one with ribbon through grommets and it's worked really well through a few airline flights and a few cruises.

These were the taqs I made a few years before the ones above (we moved so we needed new ones).
