Dinner/Crockpot Question...

Would it work or not to put a frozen roast beef in the crockpot now and turn it on high, say if I wanted to eat it around 6:00 tonight (so, in app. 6 1/2 hours)?

I'm not very hopeful, but would love for one of you to come and say "Oh yeah, it'll work fine and will be delicious!!!" hehe!

I'm not sure...I know that my thawed corn beef takes almost 12 hours on low so not sure that a frozen one would work in 6-8 hours....

I do frozen chicken breasts for about 3 hours on low all the time...so I don't see why not. I guess it really depends on how big/thick it is.

I wouldn't, Kresta. I'm not a big fan of thawing meat in a crockpot..it sits in that bad zone for too long for my comfort level. You can try thawing it in the microwave first, do it on a low thaw, not hot enough to cook it, and then put it in the crock.

Sounds yummy, i love pot roast! but I agree with everyone else... although I do believe frozen chicken is just fine...

Well, bummer! :) I'll have to figure something else out. I guess I should probably start browsing through the freezer/fridge/pantry. Thanks anyway!

Hmmm, we could if we didn't go there for lunch yesterday!! LOL! (Oh, and my kids have always called it "Little Eechie Beechie's" - hehe!)
Jealous!!!! I told my bff that when we're down there next month, we're eating there at least once! hehe! The breadsticks & alfredo...mmm..my fave! Oh gosh! Why did I have to bring it up? Now I'm craving it & won't stop until I get some! lol
That is too cute! I'll have to tell my husband that I'm craving Little Eechie Beechie's & see what he says! lol
