difference in image quality

Which one is better quality?

Do you see a difference in the quality of these two layouts......and if so...which one is better? Look at the bow in the top right corner......that is REALLY bugging me.....there is a big difference I think in the color.....

The second one is a bit sharpened (look at your husband's hair and beard) but the colours are more soft. In the first one, the colours are more vivid. I like the vivid colours best. :p
 
I think the top one looks better. The colors seem brighter to me. I think the bottom one is a tad too sharp but then Ive been staring at my monitor working on a layout for one of my creative teams for quite awhile so my eyes are not that reliable LOL
 
I like #1 better. Just because I'm curious. What did you do differently? Did you just sharpen the second one after you resized it? I usually use a light high pass on my resized image and sometimes I'll even remove parts that are oversharpened. I also get really frustrated with the way things look in PS and what they look like once I upload them to PB. Grrr.... What a fun page!
 
I chose #1 because the colors look richer. #2 is sharper but I don't see that the sharpening makes it "better" here.
 
ummm...I don't do anything but "save for web" and re-size when I upload a LO. Am I missing something? I noticed that some LOs in the gallery look different - what do you guys do to your LOs before you post??

(oh, and I voted for #1...)
 
Ok, I'm going to be a little different. I like the photos in the second picture better, but I like the elements of the LO better in the first one.
