Did'ya see that!? What a jerk!

Speaking as someone who has recently gone through some major relationship changes, I think he did the right thing. He was dead on when he said you can't live with regrets and you need to follow your heart. I honestly think he has integrity and believed he was doing the right thing.

I don't like that he did it on TV though, but it is a TV show I guess, so it is what it is.

according to his interview with Jimmy Kimmel he was under contract to play all this relationship stuff on TV and that Melissa was aware before the show that it was over between them., so some of that was acting I think!! I still don't get about how the chemistry was different and stuff and he knew they weren't meant to be together. do you think it was because he couldn't forget Molly????? I sometimes think this show is evil, cause someone always gets hurt in the end!!

I do not watch the show but I think it's sad that he had to break the girl's heart like that. Although it's definitley better now than later. It is nice to see that he definitely is an honest person.

I just caught bits and pieces this season...but I did watch that final episode thingy...he's a whackadoo for changing his mind...and the second girl is a whackadoo for not slapping him upside the head and saying no way would she be second choice.

It did seem like acting...very bad acting lol

If these people are dumb enough to believe they'll meet their one true love on a heavily edited TV show, they deserve to have their pretend feelings hurt. I mean, really. It's fun for us to watch because it's like going to a human zoo. Gawk at the humans, watch their neat tricks, go home. The end.

It's only Trista and Ryan that have ever actually stayed together/married from the million seasons of 'The Bachelor(ette),' right?

I didn't watch the whole season at all but wanted to watch the finale and I can not believe what he did. Molly and him probably won't work out in the end.

I just can't believe they keep making season after season of this show.

I think it is all about ratings. Get a guy who is a single dad and some beautiful women to fawn over him and watch teh ratings jump (according to Good Morning America there were 3 million more watching this season then any other!!) They all really deaserve whatever they get from putting themselves in this situation

The only airing of this show I have ever watched is the season Trista & Ryan were on and I can say I honestly felt that they fell in love on the show. DH was deployed so I got caught up in it all.

Anyway, I watched the show last night as there wasn't anything on TV (mind you I didn't watch one single episode from this season or any other season since Trista & Ryan) and I stopped to watch it because I kept thinking that Melissa looked familiar and sure enough she did...I watch the CMT Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Making the Team and I thought she was a DCC and she is.

Just from his reaction it seemed he made a mistake sending Molly away so I think it is pretty cool that he would say oops I screwed up, I need to make this right. Though it seems this show doesn't tend to bring many happy endings.

I didn't watch the season, but watched the episode last night. Seems to me like he was a typical man and was afraid that he might have picked the wrong one, I mean, things could be better with this one or this one or who knows which one. Buyers remorse.

I was completely shocked! I can't wait to see what happens tonight on the other After the Final Rose Part 2

I had the final episode TIVOed from last night (my DH won't watch it)... now I can't wait to see what went down. I was upset when he let Jillian go...

I think he did the right thing, even though I feel bad for Melissa :(

I agree. Even though I knew what was coming, it was hard watching that part. I really think he should have been honest with her and just said, I made mistake, I'm really in love with Molly, rather than going on and on about the "chemistry" changing.

I don't believe in all the "planned" crap Reality Steve is trying to sell :D, but I wasn't surprised that Jason changed his mind. I thought all season long that he was incredibly wishy-washy and couldn't make a decision to save his life, turns out I was right. :D I blame DeAnna though and her whole, "I picked the wild card" comment. Jason's whole faced just dropped when she said that and while it shouldn't have changed his mind, he was so conflicted at that point that I think it might have made a difference, especially since he'd been on the receiving end of her decision.

I think his gut was telling him to pick Molly but his brain was saying that Melissa was who fit his "idea" of the type of girl he wanted. If he'd just listened to Trista, he would know that the reason that worked out was because she picked the guy totally different from anyone else she ever dated. :D
