Dial Idol Predictions

They might on Allison or Alexis...don't think they would on Megan.

Well Dial Idol has a very strong history. They've predicted a lot of major upsets over the years, so I put a lot of stock into what they say. The only thing is that they don't count text votes... just the call in. Still, they're usually pretty accurate. Typically, they have the person going home near the bottom even if they don't show them as dead last.
It'll be interesting since yesterday there was buzz all over the net about how an idol "staffer" leaked that supposedly the contest was fixed and the final 4 were already chosen (Alexis, Danny, Adam, and Lil). So, if DI *is* right and Alexis goes, the judges will have to be careful about if they want to use their saving power to save her because that will just fuel the rumors even more.

According to wikipedia, Dial Idol was 97% accurate last season and 91% accurate the season before that so I'd say they mostly get it right. I know the one they got wrong last season was Kristy-Lee Cook - they listed her as safe when she ended up going home.
Like Libby said, they don't include text messages so it's possible if there's a contestant that gets a huge percentage of their votes through text messages that it could throw their predictions off. I know there's been some talk about that with regards to Allison this season since they had her near the bottom last week when she was safe.
As for the judges veto, I doubt they would use it this early. I'm still confused by the veto actually, because they can only use it up until the Top 5 right? So why do they keep saying they would have saved Chris Daughtry? He came in 4th so wouldn't he have been past the point of being saved? Or do you think there's another twist that will come up when we get to the top 5?

If that's the final four I'll be disappointed too!! I definitely like Kris, Matt and Danny for the final four, just not sure quite yet who I want the 4th to be. Also I can't see the judges using the Veto this early on, I think if they do use it at all if will be later on in the season.

I don't know if they will use the save because then they have to eliminate 2 next week...how will that affect the top 10 for the tour if they go from 11 to 9. I guess they could still identify which person is the lowest of the 2 that go home.

Yeah. To be fair, when Dial Idol claims their 97% accuracy, I *think* they are only counting the person who actually goes home.

Well there have been rumors for years and years (as long as I've been watching) that the bottom 3 may not ACTUALLY be the lowest vote-getters. They just say "you're in the bottom 3." They really could put people in there for the drama factor. If that's the case, then it would be impossible for Dial Idol to get the bottom 3 every week -- that's why they just claim to predict who actually goes home.

The thing is, if they saved her, and later by some idiocy, Danny was in the bottom....they wouldn't have it to save him. I think it's a bit early yet, but I really liked her.
Yep, I agree. I'm sad she went home...I really liked her, but if they "blew" the save now, there could be a huge mistake later.
