Desperate for Dinner Ideas...

So I'm doing my weekly meal planning and as I'm rummaging through my stash or recipes, I cannot for the life of me, find anything to cook for my family that we are all thoroughly sick.of.eating.

So please, for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE give me your best (read: easiest) recipes.

I'm begging you. :crying:
 
This is a super, easy favorite in my household. I use frozen veggies instead of canned (so much better for you). I also make it with pieces of chicken breast for my meat eaters.


Ingredients
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup
1 (15 ounce) can mixed vegetables, drained
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (9 inch) frozen prepared pie crusts, thawed

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.In a medium bowl, combine potato soup, mixed vegetables, milk, thyme, and black pepper.
3.Spoon filling into bottom pie crust. Cover with top crust, and crimp edges to seal. Slit top crust.
4.Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, and cool for 10 minutes before serving
 
you like chili? My husband makes it all the time but I dont really like chili that much. He takes 2 cans chili beans, 2 cans kidney beans (either light or dark red), ground beef browned, tomato sauce, chili seasoning and one can of bushs chili starters and cooks it for several hours in the crockpot
 
Have you done salsa chicken? This one is so easy that the boys actually make it for us. We just put it in/take it out of the oven, they do the rest.

4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 packet taco seasoning
1 cup salsa of choice
shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat chicken in taco seasoning, place in lightly greased baking dish. Top chicken with salsa and bake 25-30 minutes or until done. Open oven, sprinkle chicken with cheese and bake another 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with Spanish or Mexican rice and veg of choice.

My boys love it when we shred the chicken and make tacos with it.

Another easy peasy recipe--this one for the crockpot:

3lbs stew beef, seasoned with grill seasoning. Toss into crockpot with some baby carrots, a packet of onion soup mix and a can of beef broth. Cook until done, my crockpot takes about four hours. If you want to do a little more work, brown the beef first. We like the flavor it adds. Serve over egg noodles.
 
For dinner tonight we had chipotle steak sandwiches- I sauted steak with some mushrooms and onions, then served it on a rolls with chipotle mayo (smooshed up a chipotle pepper with some mayo) and cheese. Seriously yum. The mayo is a smidge spicy, so you could use regular mayo if you have kiddos that aren't into spicy :)
 
We had Chicken Quesedillas tonight. Soooo easy.

Dice chicken in small pieces
Season with seasonall salt, pepper, montreal steak seasoning and granulated garlic.
Fry in a little olive oil.
Add tortilla to pan. Add cheese (I used a Colby/Cheddar mix). Add tortilla.
Cook until golden brown on both sides.

I had mine with some leftover Loaded Baked Potato Chowder.
