We don't have a white Christmas very often here in Holland, but I don't mind. I hate driving in the snow, always scared I'm gonna slip, so let it snow is not my jam
Yes, we usually have a white Christmas and this year we've had too much snow already, although it's almost gone again. I honestly hate hate hate cold weather but I moved back here to be nearer to family so my kids could get to know them. I'm out of here as soon as humanly possible
It used to always be a white Christmas...... but within the past 10 years there have been a lot of warm green Christmases. For me the Snow adds to the spirit and excitement and Christmas Eve/Day is the only time I HAVE TO HAVE snow. Plus Green Warm Christmases up in Canada just do not make sense in my mind
We don't have a white Christmas very often in Belgium, but I hope for it every year! I know it's dangerous for the ones who have to drive. It doesn't snow that much in Belgium, but when it does, I want to fully enjoy it.
We get a white Christmas once in a while here in Kansas. I mean, we get snow, but it isn't like the ground is covered all winter long.
While I love the THOUGHT of a white Christmas, I prefer not having one for at least the next 2 years. LOL I find myself driving to pick Kendra up immediately before and after Christmas, and I'd prefer not to drive in it.
There IS something magical about having snow on the ground on Christmas morning though!
Pshhh, I wish we could have one White Christmas. It's so rare inthe UK Even when we do get snow, we're lucky if it fully covers the ground! I would love to go somewhere one Christmas where it snows loads so we can have snowball fights & make snowmen and snow angels!
We live in Indianapolis, so it's usually a white Christmas and always a snowy winter.
I don't mind it and am thankful that I don't live in my hometown (a couple hours north of here) anymore when they have 12 inch snowfalls in early November.
Northern Utah . . . It's unusual for us NOT to have snow, and I love having a white Christmas. But, I have to admit that it doesn't seem like we get snow like we had when I was kid . . . the winters are colder with less snow than I remember from when I was little. I kind of wish it was the other way around.
Yup - white 99% of the time... there is a saying "Green Christmas - White Easter"... I think that goes back to Germany... maybe someone knows? So rather have snow at Christmas time than when it's Easter! haha There is also a saying something about "Brown Christmas, a full graveyard there will be"... but I don't remember the exact saying...
My dream is to live in a place where it if snows, it melts the next day!
We live in the mountains of California. Not usually white Christmas. Often is super sunny!!! I grew up in Seattle. It rained or was frozen and icy. I've only had 1 white Christmas in my whole life!
I live in Southern Illinois. We sometimes do and sometimes don't have a white Christmas. It is always cold though haha. We had a white Thanksgiving this year so we may see some at Christmas.
yep, same here in Portland. Snow would just shut down everything, so I'd rather not have snow on Christmas. One year, 2008, we had snow/ice on the ground at Christmas and just before and it caused the mail and packages to not be delivered until after Christmas. It was horrible with all the malls closed and a bunch of Amazon gifts not delivered in time. I hope to never experience that again.
Depends on the weather. I'm in NJ - about 20 minutes to NYC, and 20 minutes to the shore. We get plenty of snow... and I get sick of it after the first storm, or after the first time school shuts down. The novelty wears off then, lol!
I do like it if I am at home and don't have to leave.... I get to cozy up and hang at home, which is my preference. Unless the boys heckle me to go sledding, then we are out and about.
