David Cook = WOW!!

Yeah he was great! He seemed humbled by it, too, which made it that much better.

I think maybe Brooke could go home. I normally love her, but tonight... not so much.
 
What number was he this week? It doesn't start here for another 50 mins, but I am going to miss the first part because I have to go pick up my son from baseball practice. I really don't want to miss him.
 
I think Jason was my fave tonight. And I'm sorry, but I loved Brooke. Even though she missed a note or two, she's so professional. And classy. I liked David Cook, but I liked Jason better tonight.

jason is always my fave ... no matter what :) LOl - but i did like david cook a lot too ... and, i also like brooke - i just really love her style and voice, even if it's not perfect .... i'm ready for syesha to go home, i think ...
 
I love Jason. I felt compelled to vote for him tonight (usually I don't vote). and I got through with NO problem!
 
I thought the guys were SO much better than the girls, I was so hesitant knowing what they were singing tonight, but wow. I think it was because they HAD to change the songs and make them their own, to get to them to work for them.

I liked Brooke..it's hard to be a girl and sing Mariah...you know it's hard to sing a song that she sang and change it so you aren't compared to her totally lol
 
I agree cool performance.....I think he was choked up because I read that his brother who is battling brain cancer flew in to watch the performance this week. They showed him in the audience briefly when the song was over. So sad :(

My goosebumps have goosebumps. My niece woke me up at 10:30 tonight (I was going to watch it tomorrow) and said I HAD to watch David and now I can't STOP watching it. Thank God for DVR....I swear I feel like such a total groupie but I LOVE this boy. I've bought everything he has in itunes and this full length song WILL be mine :P GO david GOOO!!!
 
You gals are making me anxious to wait for the show, which will only come on air in 6 hours here in Malaysia.. But glad to know that David C had a great performance.. :)

And seriously, could Carly please dress a little more exciting? She's all tattooed up and then wears frumpy clothes. Odd.

Kristy Lee - I think last night was her best week yet. Still not a fan, though! Is she the one that sold her horse to audition?
 
That bugged me last night, too! It's one thing to make the song country. But last night she seemed to just have country in spots. I dunno - she's not my favorite.

He has family, including the brother w brain cancer, in Terre Haute (abt an hour from me in Indianapolis), and the local radio station in TH raised enough money for his brother to be flown out for the show. Evidently, 'AI' wouldn't do it themselves.

Someone called into the radio station I listen to in the mornings and said she'd flown in with David Cook on her plane. Then 'my' radio station called the other station and got the scoop.

... and now you know!
 
David Cook was just amazing! I so can't wait to get that single for my ipod. I also loved David A.

I have to agree with you Jamie about Kristi and I love country music! LOL!
 
I love David C but I really think he would do better to not win and get to do his own thing with another record company (like Daughtrey).

AI would probably try and stifle his more grungy sound.
 
I agree with that Tracy, I don't think Chris Daughtry would have been as good if he had won, his CD is amazing, because he was allowed to do his own thing.
 
I agree with Tracy and I also feel that way about Jason Castro. I want him to stick around a bit longer but I don't want him to actually win.
 
Dude he was AMAZING!! Seriously me and wes had to rewind it and rewatch twice after and I will be surfing youtube to catch it again all week LOL. Its funny he took a while to catch my interest but these past four weeks or so have been just amazing! I also love Jason, I think hes adorable!!
 
Anyone else shocked that Simon agreed with Paula regarding Jason? I laughed when Randy said he felt like he was at a luau (I know some of you love Jason, but I felt the same, like I needed to go get a pina colada or something), and I fully expected Simon to agree with him. But yes, it was perfect for Jason, really his style.
 
Funny side story, my oldest (15) has almost the same eyes as Jason. And he's got shoulder length SUPER curly hair. Not dreads, but still unusual hair for a boy.

The other day we were at the eye dr and the girls (women!) that worked there were all giggling and acting giddy because "omg he looks like jason castro *swoon*".

It was a little odd for 30 year old women to be swooning over my kid, but still funny.

I'd show a pic, but I don't have one without his glasses yet (he just got contacts a couple weeks ago) and he doesn't look like him with the glasses on. I will work on it. LOL
 
I like David Cook but I seriously thought he was just okay last night. I thought he mumbled parts of the song and I couldn't understand the words. Now, I do love him and want him to get to the final two, but that performance didn't wow me because of the lack of clarity. If he redid it so it was clearer then I'm sure I'd love it.
 
You know what I wish would factor in to the competition? Since they started putting the full length songs on iTunes for purchase, it would kinda be neat to see whose music gets purchased the most. I know I have bought everything David Cook has on iTunes and will buy the new one as soon as I can tomorrow. I have found so often that the full length downloads make me love the song waaaaaay more than the 1:45 you get to see on the show. Like last weeks "Innocent'. I had to watch it like 15 times on youtube before I really loved it, and then when I bought the whole song, I have listened to it repeatedly all week. So a lot of people that thought his performance last week was so/so are really missing out on a great song.

DH and I thought he sounded drunk at points, slurring the words.
 
I have to say I don't understand all the hype about him this week. For me it was just ok. I didn't really think there was anything unique about it, he basically did the same thing he did with Billie Jean but with a Mariah Carey song instead, and this time I don't think it worked. I just don't think a song that is meant to be lighthearted and upbeat worked with his raspy rocker voice. I don't know, I guess I just didn't get it. :unsure:
