daily December...

Jenn Barrette

Sweet Shoppe Designer
If some designer were making a daily December add-on for a Christmas kit...what kind of goodies would you want in it?? :)

numbers... that was my favorite thing was having the day number on my layouts... I used the same ornament for each of my layouts and put the number inside of it... but would love something simple like that, like a stamp or sticker or both.

I'm with Heather, numbers! I would like a couple of colors and/or styles, cause I'm all eclectic like that! Titles for all the Christmasy things you can do: bake cookies, hanging stockings, decorating the tree, wrapping presents, advent calendar, play in the snow, elf on a shelf, etc. And of course, anything glittered!

yea I agree about numbers and I would love to see some tape, wordarts, and hand-drawn words!

yep...numbers and maybe a little hanging frame to put those numbers on {if that makes sense!!!!}....and I would LOVE to see a little doodle page frame that says "December" so I could put it on each page .......

--Christmaselated word strips
--overlays/faux transparencies & pockets
--vellum alpha including numbers 1 - 31
--glitter scatters & overlays
--traditional colors (red, green, silver, gold, cream) with non-traditional add-on (pink, blue)
--messy stitching: lines, circles, stars
--multi-photo templates

 All that plus favorite Christmas Songs, favorite Holiday Specials, viewing Holiday Lights, going to see Santa, Santa/Polar Express Train Rides.

I don't need them, but would also suggest Nativity, Candlelight Service.

Snowflake alpha! with a wee bit of white glitter on the edges ... a snowflake with an alpha on top of it...plus all the above!

Sqeeeeeeeeee I have nothing to add because there are some great suggestions above...but this thread makes me so happy!!!!!

omgosh i'm just loving the sounds of a kit like this. Its making me seriously consider digital rather than traditional. I'm actually going to Micheal's today to look for stuff, maybe I'll do a nice hybrid. so happy to read this thread lol

i'd love some numbers cut out of paper like this...

I would really love templates for the whole month. I know it's a ton of work on the designer, but maybe for next year :)

I apologize for hijacking Jenn's thread, but.....Can I just throw out the idea that a December Daily Quarterly Assortment would be really freaking cool?

I would also love some photo overlay brushes. I'm doing a mini and they make pure photo pages more interesting.

And I agree on word strips.

I would REALLY love a kit with non red and green colors. My christmas tree is blue and silver (airforce colors!) and I really like the pink and blue christmas colors!

I hereby vote for Jenn releasing her kit early! Like, now! There's way too much teasing around everywhere. I am pretty sure Amnesty International is already keeping a close eye...

The problem with this is everyone does it different. :D Some do it in a small 5x5 size, some do it in an"odd size" (like Ali is doing it in a 6x8 size this year) and then some do the traditional 12x12 size. Some do it photo intensive and others just have one photo or even no photo! It's really a personal preference with no one way being right!!! Also (at least I know I do :p) a lot of people us the same "layout/page design" (or template) for the whole project...so you wouldn't really need 30 templates.

We already have TONS of great templates in shoppe that you could use....in fact the one I used last year for my entire album was a free one Janet had giving out.

If you want photo intensive pages I suggest looking in Janet's shopppe:
https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=31

If you want your album to be element heavy check out Cindy's shoppe:
https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=32

If you want both then definitely check out Cindy's 2 pages!! Mine was very simple last year and while I love it....it's just not my style...so I decided that this year I want to include more elements...but still have tons of photos....so here are the temps I'm using from Cindy this year:

and just the bottom one from this pack:

I know these look super busy but all I did was remove some of the layered papers, removed the "circle photo" spots, and in the top template I eliminated the whole top half on the left and the right!! So I still have a guide for myself, lots of element placement choices and tons of photo spots.

Also another option for you if you want different templates in usually the Babes and Designers design a pack of 30 templates for Toys for tot that are sold like the first week of December or they give one away everyday of December...only available for 24 hours!!

Definitely second (or is it third or fourth) Lynnette's templates--and mixed in with the yumminess that is Jenn's collab :)
