Curves

I know it's no consolation at the moment but I planned on making my next Shutterbug Shakedown on Curves. :p

It's kind of like using levels, or the lightness feature in hue/saturation. I just know that when I move the curve down, it gets lighter, and when I move it up it gets darker, lol.

Chicken.

It's just like everything in PS. Play with it, and it's easy. I dare you to open a photo right now, and mess with the curves.

Same place as the hue/saturation and levels. It's right under levels I think. The circle that's half filled at hte bottom of the layers palette.

Basically a box pops up and it's got a diagonal line running through it. You click at a point on the line and can drag it around the box, changing the effects. I THINK you can change the levels for different types of light (like highlights, midtones, shadows) but I could also be totally making that up. And for THAT I will wait for Mandy :p

For some reason, I thought this was going to be about the women's only work out place.

However, for curves in PS I do the play around until it looks better (I'm not sure if I ever got to the point of looking good). Usually my curves end up in some sort of S shape.

That's what I've always done but I kind of want to know the "technique" if there is any. And by the way, when I titled this post I almost said "Curves- and not the workout play:! :p

I thought it was going to be about the workout place too LOL

I use curves but I just play with it till it looks right. LOL
