What's the last book you finished?
What are you reading right now?
What's on your TBR for the weekend and next week?

What's the last book you finished?

I finished 2 books this week and of course picked up something totally different that I planned to in the last thread. I tend to do that lol

First I finished Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I had a lot to say about this book and you can read my Goodreads Review here if you'd like. Spoiler warnings though. But overall I liked it and gave it 3 stars.

I also finished up The Tales of Beedle the Bard by JK Rowling. I enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars. The notes by Dumbledore are the best thing about this little book.

What are you reading right now?

So instead of the things I thought I was going to pick up this week I ended up going with 2 other books.

Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

and The Princess Bride by William Goldman (this is a reead)

and I'm about 1/3 of the way through the audiobook of The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. It's still fantastic.

What's on your TBR for the weekend and next week?

My TBR list for this week is the same as last since I didn't get to these yet. We've had a busy week with Valentines Day and stuff with the kids at school so I didn't get as much reading done as I'd hoped.

The Night Watch by Sarah Waters

The Song of Achilles

and Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

Oooh that Code Name Verity sounds good! I'll have to see if I can find it at the library!

I'm still reading The Longest Ride that I was reading last week. We're all still sick around here, and I just haven't has as much time to read as I'd like.

Ugh. I've read some real stinkers lately. It's my fault I suppose because I've been in a zombie apocalypse phase and that kind of genre fiction tends to be poorly written. Not to mention that they are mostly written by men and have some really bad depictions of women. :(

Switching gears, I am reading this:

It's the start of a series of mysteries where the main character is a Maine game warden. Liking it so far.

I decided to reread Mansfield Park by Jane Austen and it seemed to influence what else I picked up this week. lol.

Just Finished :

always a favorite.

What's on your TBR for the weekend and next week?
My list is seriously looooong and haven't been able to decide yet.

Oh Loni, Timebound is one of my all-time faves. And I actually loved the sequel even more than the first one. I can hardly wait for the final installment later this year!

STILL finishing up the North and South series . . . but I'm almost done. Then, I think I'm going to burn through a few quick, easy reads before I tackle another long book.

Reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and you were so right Nikki, it is AWESOME!

I havent read a book in a long time that I have been this excited to get back to each time I have to take a break. SOOO lovin it!

I am trying to read through Wool and am having difficulty. The story is interesting, it just feels tedious so far. It hasn't grabbed me yet.

I just finished the First Fifteen Lives too and I was so disappointed, I had high hopes for that one that didn't pan out, oh well!

I am currently reading Station 11 and I am loving it!

Not sure what I am going to read next but I have a thousand books here to pick from. I am a bit of a book hoarder!

Just finished Wild (the movie was based off this book). It was well written and definitely captured my attention as I finished it in 2 days.

Still need to make a trip to the library to pick up something new. Decided to not read the First Fifteen Lives. I have 2 Gillian Flynn books I got from a girlfriend to read so I'll probably start one of them this weekend.
