Current Reads... Early February

I greatly enjoyed browsing through our last current reads thread and would love to try and keep us going throughout the year! I added several books to my queue and was happy to discover some new to me titles - Thanks! Sometimes I find it difficult to connect with a book I've started and it's terrific to have a list of alternates to refer to. I did manage to get through 14 books in January!

Here's what I've been reading since Jan 15th...

My Dear Watson : 2 stars
The Haunting of Maddy Clare : 2 stars
How to Stop Time : 4 stars
Children of Blood and Bone : 3 stars
The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle : 4 stars
The Secrets of Wishtide : 3 stars
The Phantom Tree : 4 stars
O is for Outlaw : 4 stars
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time : 4 stars
The Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter : 3.5 stars
Jane Steele : 4 stars
A Useful Woman : 3 stars
P is for Peril : 4 stars

I'm currently reading The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson... but oy!! I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up the momentum as it's over 1000 pages. It good so far, but honestly, the length of it feels overwhelming.

Sooooo.... how about you??!

My Goodreads is a little disorganized because I have every book I intend to actually read that I already have in my possession on my "currently reading" shelf, but I'm currently only ACTUALLY reading:

Only Daughter by Anna Snoekstra - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29095402-only-daughter

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/42863787-the-gilded-wolves

and You by Caroline Kepnes (I haven't watched the Netflix show yet) - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22073005-you

I finished three:
If you come Softly (3 stars - crazy ending)

The Names the Gave us (4 stars - very good)

Bookshop on the Corner (3 1/2 stars - super cute)

Amber.....You was fantastic IMO....creepy, intriguing, heartfelt and just amazing overall. It is such a unique story from it's viewpoint. Loved the book and the series and can't wait for the second book and season 2 of the show.

Right now I'm reading "When Life Gives You Lululemons" and when I finish that I'll be going back to reading "The Family Next Door" which I got about 15 pages into and then saw that my other book was going to run out of time at the digital library so switched to the other one to read first.

DANG, Loni! You win for sure. (Surely??)

In the last month, I have read:
Facebook (5 stars) ; )
Your Future Self Will Thank You by Drew Dyck (4 stars)
The Chaos Cure by Maria Cillye, aka the Flylady (3.5 stars, but lots of good tips in there)

I am currently reading:
Full by Asheritah Ciuciu
The Antidote: Happiness for People who Can't Stand Positive Thinking
Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Short Stories (I will probably read this throughout the next few months, no rush because it's so many stories.)
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry (4 stars, reading this out loud to my kids because it's a fave of mine)

YES! I just finished You last night and I loved it! I loved the way it was written in first person and the way Joe runs on and on and on with his thoughts. It reminded me of American Psycho. I am starting the next book in the series, Hidden Bodies tonight when I go to bed.

Amber...have you seen the series yet? If not...I totally recommend it. It was really good.

I am currently reading:

Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Short Stories

Kellie! I own these ♥ mine are broken into two separate books and I've probably read and re-read them 40 times in the past 30 years. Sherlock Holmes is my life long FAVE. I read Hound of the Baskervilles when I was 9 and it truly reshaped and propelled my love for reading. My admiration for Holmes continues to inspire the types of books I connect to and enjoy the most today.

This is what I've read since our last update:

and currently reading

I haven't had as much reading time the last week or so but I've had a pretty good run. An Untamed Heart was one that was hard to read but SO good.
