I'm probably like many others, it just depends on your own circumstances. I would like more since I don't have my own kids at home anymore and have grandbabies.

Fun thread to read! I agree that it depends on both your designers and yourself. I'm a slow scrapper--on average I scrap 2-3 LOs a week, and CT LOs take me longer because I want them to be the best I can make them. I'm a SAHM to 2 young kids and pregnant with a 3rd, and I only get to scrap after they're in bed.

I'm on 1 permanent team that I adore, and I recently did my first guest CT spot. It taught me that at this point in my life, 2 permanent teams would be too much. I can handle 1 perm plus the occassional guest spot, but more than that and I feel like I can't give the CT and the designer everything I want to. I can meet my requirements in a technical sense, but not contribute at the level and quality I want to.

This is an interesting thread! I got into my first CT only last May, so I am still trying to get the hang of things, LOL. I will admit I've hit my limit with regards to requirements on my CTs. But in general my designers are quite laid back and don't crack the whip or breathe down my neck, thank God! All my CTs are designer CTs--I cannot imagine how people with store CTs do it! They are amazing!

I know I applied to these designers' calls or accepted their invitations because I loved their designs, but now I'm so happy I'm on my teams because they are all so fun! So I can totally relate to those who are in it for the camaraderie.

That being said, is this why designers ask about how many CTs their applicants are on? To see how they can handle the load?

Ditto! :) I do think store CTs are harder, and then some designers have less requirements than others. Especially if they don't crank out kits really fast! I'm pretty new to CTs also, but thoroughly enjoy it - it motivates me to actually CREATE layouts instead of just surfing around! :p

Thank you very much for this thread, Meg, and for the opinions, girls!

As I'm in no CTs yet but would like to start, I found here much useful information. Or things were said that confirmed what I was thinking - like that it has really sense to apply only to CTs by designers whose work one loves. Thanks again! Will do that further. :)

One more thing I really appreciate here in SSD in this context are the Quarterly Assortments. You can try to work with a designer's products and see if it fits you, that is great. Sometimes it can occurre that you like a product but then find out you just can't work with it, right?

i voted 4-6. i'm on 4 right now and i feel stretched but only because we are down to just my computer and DH is on it most of the day playing WoW. So i only get on in the morning while he's still sleeping, if and when he takes a nap, or if he's gone. So my scrapping time is limited and i'm not giving everyone my all and feel bad. i'm pondering letting on or two go but i don't want to! lol
