CT Call Question....

Okay Ladies,

This is totally just out of curiosity.. BUT.. How often in general, do designers have calls?? I have gotten a little taste of CT-ism, and well, I'll just say that I'd love a few more bites..... LMAO... :D :D

Sooo.... How often? Is there even a frequency?? Should i not hold my breath, LOL!!

Okay, humor a newbie.. gimme the scoop... Thanks Sweets! :wub:
 
I was actually wondering the same thing. I know most of them recently (couple of months ago) had CT calls, but I was wondering if it was a 6 month thing, or 12 month.
 
I think it's random really, though I'm not a designer, so I couldn't say for sure. Some have special lengths for terms, others don't. Most of the ones I've been on have calls after so many have stepped down, or they felt like they needed to beef up the team.
 
Well I just had my first call at the end of July. Right now, my team is packed full (and I love it!), so I don't foresee having a call anytime in the near future. I don't have a term with my girls... they're welcome to stay as long as they are completing the requirements. So unless 1/2 my girls up and leave me next week, I probably won't have a call for several months.

(But I'm always looking through the threads and galleries looking to take on a guest here or there!)

I love being on my CTs! A lot of the designers were having calls when I had just first started scrapping. I've learned quit a bit since then and thanks to Evan and Julie who gave me my first break, I feel I've gotten better. Soooo just keep you eye on the threads and you never know when they might have one.

And I agree with Kim, Twilight has gone to your head! But what can I say, it's gone to mine too! lol

Thanks Amy, for pointing this thread out! Very valuable information that I think is important to know when applying for a CT and also as a reminder to those of us already on CT's. It helped me to keep in mind what my designers' expectations are and how important it is to do our best to maintain respect for them by respecting others as well as ourselves. :thumbup:

Thanks love! I refer to that post a lot actually. It's very insightful, and I've found it useful myself as well. :)

You're a stinker! You have to tell me this now- lol, I'm going to be moving during november and be without internet for a while-I'm going to miss the excitement!!! LOL, I'm going to be checking in constantly at the library until we get into a place and get set up!!!!!
 
well IF the rumor is true..it'll be toward the beginning of the month..like the first week...again..that's if it's true ;)
 
My calls are in december and may..if neccessary. My girls tend to stay on for some odd reason....

CTs are awesome! My favorite part is getting to know the designers better and getting to learn their styles better. Although just about every part of CTing is darn awesome!!

OMG you are so funny!!!

I love being on CT's because it's great to be inspired and challenged by the other members, and being able to get to know the designers and be in on the thought process is really cool. It encourages me to grow as a scrapper.

You mean you don't have a pile of stuff that you found stashed around the house January-July that you forgot to give them last year.

Guess that's just me.

(my son is actually getting something for his birthday NEXT WEEK that I bought for Christmas LAST YEAR and then forgot about. LOL)
