CS6 question

So, I got it! So far, I love it... it's all shiny and new and stuff.

I have one issue that I can NOT figure out how to fix though.

When I work, I typically have several things open at once in PS. In CS4, when I'd minimize something, it would just become small and place it at the bottom of my work space within PS. Now, when I have numerous things open, it actually shows them on my Windows task bar. When i minimize something, you don't see it in PS at all... just cluttering up my task bar. That drives me crazy!

I know I can combine things on my task bar, but I prefer not to do that for other progams. I just don't need 18 PS windows showing up when I'm jumping from one thing to another.

Can this be fixed?

Can you change it in the preferences at all? Maybe it's in the interface section where you can change if they are tabbed or not... I have CS5 not 6, so I'm just guessing..

I ran into this problem when I switched to a Mac. I thought it was a Mac problem. I would love a soultion as well!

I've just learned to live with it, mostly. I keep less stuff open now. I keep stuff I want all on one workspace sometimes. And since I have a wide screen monitor, I keep Photoshop a little smaller and stick some of the tabbed items over to the side so that when I click back onto Photoshop - I can still access it without it getting stuck behind Photoshop.

I have this issue too (on a mac) I'm used to it by now but it was so annoying at first.

Let me know in a week how you like it. I'm excited to maybe get it in a month or so. I love that you can work on another canvas while another one is saving...

Don't have a solution for you but wanted to say Congrats!! I just upgraded to CS5 in March so I have to wait a bit to get 6

That is a problem in CS5 too Let me know if you find a way to minimize to the program in CS6, it's the one feature I'd upgrade for. I miss CS2 sooo much for that reason.

Maybe I'm not quite following you all... but, from what I am understanding the issue to be... I don't have this issue. I can have open many things in PS (cs4, cs5 and cs6.. altho I only use cs6 now.. but this is the same for all three of these for me) when I minimize them they go small, into a like a tab across the top of my workspace... they don't show up anywhere else (like on my doc ..Im on a mac).

Under the "Options" part of the interface settings, I have checks next to all items.

I hate this issue as well ... It annoys me that I have to keep selecting open all in windows to see everything grrr
