Cross your fingers and think good thoughts PLEASE

Jeff just got a call from the shop. They had a Volvo job come up in St Joe (about an hour away) that is 4 10 hour days, so he will have Fridays off for chemo and he will still get a 40 hour work week. This is huge for us because he's running out of unemployment money rapidly, and he'll start accumulating hours for insurance again since we are currently paying $1000 a month for COBRA... and he will get a PAYCHECK! Woot!! :D

I am scared out of my mind that he can't do it. This means no pain pills and long hours upright and using his muscles. This is GOOD for him because the pain pills are killing his gallbladder and he needs to be up and moving.. but it's so scary.

He starts tomorrow so if you guys could just please think good thoughts for him that tomorrow goes well and he's not in too much pain... I would so appreciate it.

I also want to say that all of you have been so incredible through all of this with him, I really don't know what I would have done without the support. :hugs:

Sara, he'll be in my thoughts tomorrow. This sounds like a Godsend. I hope he's able to do what it he needs to and I hope he feels well.

How's the chemo going? When do they do another scan?

I will be sending lots of postitive thoughts!!! This sounds like something you guys need right now (HUGS) Hoping it turns out that it's not so hard on him!

Sounds like someone is watching out for you guys! Sounds like just what you guys needed. Will definitely be keeping him in my thoughts tomorrow that all goes smoothly and he's not in too much pain. I hope he kinda eases himself into it. It seems like such an understatement to call him a "trooper," but he sure sounds like he is one. He's one brave man.

sounds like an awesome answer to prayer... and will definitely be thinking of him and praying for him.

He has 8 treatments left counting this weeks and then another scan. It's pretty rough, esp the long days. They are dialing back the amt of chemicals to hopefully make him less sick but at this point I'm not sure it will make a difference b/c I'm almost positive it's not the chemo making him sick, it's his gallbladder.

Keeping you all in my prayers...this sounds like the little blessing you need right now. Praying it all works out Sara.

Gallbladder pain is extremely extremely rough...I going through it currently too. I'll definitely send lots of prayers and thoughts for him!! I cant imagine doing what he is.

I hope this works out well for you, Sara. It sounds like it could be great, but I agree, scary. I will keep him and his (hopefully non-existant) pain in my thoughts.

I'm praying, Sarah! You guys have been through so much and you've handled it so gracefully. I really hope that this turns out to be a good break for you guys. You've had enough bad luck lately.

Definitely sending thoughts and prayers! You're doing awesome, Sara - keeping it together so well. HUGS!

You know you can count of me for prayers. :) Sounds like it would be good for him. I pray that he will have the energy and pain tolerance to do it. Sending lots and lots of prayers and hugs your way! (and IRL ones in TWO sleeps! WOOT!)
