Craigslist Craziness

So, I've been looking on Craigslist because I'd like to find a dog that would be my running buddy. I run by myself a lot and I'd like to have a buddy with me.

Anyway...some of the grammar makes me shudder.

Example:
wats sup cl i have 2 pitbull pups for sale theyre both female dey r 5 weeks old n dey have blue eyes. they r red nose n blue nose. The puppies Do Not have their shots. im askin $60 each. Text me for more piks or more info

Seriously?

Oh, no! There's autocorrect everywhere these days!!! I'm a spelling Nazi and such things drive me crazy. Why would they type it so poorly? I wouldn't get in touch with someone who wrote a listing like that and expects to make a profit. The saddest part is I've seen CVs written this way!

It's funny to me that they did use the right "theyre" just neglected to use the apostrophe. #soclose

What is really sad is that I see that kind of grammar turned in at school more and more frequently... And they argue that it is correct because they see people write like that on the internet and in texts.

I totally agree! I am always making sure I have proper punctuation and grammar in all my texts as I hate it what I have to decipher a message.

This is why I have a strict 'no friends under 18' (like the teenagers in the youth ministry I participate in) policy on FB. I can't stand seeing statuses like that.

I'm so old that I don't really have any friends under 25, either, except a couple of friends' kids so I can usually avoid that crap altogether. :p

Very fitting they're selling pit bulls! I see a lot of misused homophones but nothing like this! Wow!

The thing I noticed is how low those puppies are priced. As pit bulls and sold by people like that, it's very likely they will end up in a bad home. As dog used for fighting, or even worse... as bait dogs. So sad. :(

It's very true. Pitbulls are a dime a dozen here though. When my mom's golden retriever ran away I took her the the SPCA to see if they had him. I'd say 90% of those kennels had pitbulls in them. We have one. She's super sweet and lovable. She just doesn't make a good running partner. She's SO strong that she ends up yanking me. :p

I actually stay FB friends with all my kids's friends so I can see what everyone is up to, lol!

Oh . My . Gah!
I see this ALL the time on my Facebook from not so "bright" family members and people from high school (whom most of graduated, some not) and I'm like -- You have a computer - you have Google, if you don't know how to spell something PLEASE look it up!

Show you at least had some kind of education!
