Coupon Help

I am trying to use the coupon from The Daily Digi for SSD and all I am getting is Error: The coupon code entered is expired or not valid. Did I miss the cutoff or have I done something wrong?

yep, I'm logged in and it worked prior to new releases for me but I decided to wait til I got paid to buy anything and now I can't

It might have expired. .. I know it expires today, July 1st, so if you were attempting to use it when you posted at about 2am my time (EST) it probably wouldn't work. :(

I copied and pasted it so writing it down wrong wouldn't have happened. I tried to use it prior to midnight EST as well.

Jenn, make sure you haven't copy/pasted a space at the start of the code. Sometimes I do that, and the code doesn't work. Make sure it's JUST the code, no spaces.

as a designer--when we enter a coupon to expire on certain days it can be confusing. If it says expires 6/30 and was set up to actually expire 6/30 in the cart then the latest it can be used it 1159pm on 6/29. I'd just message the designer and see how it was set up she can look and see. Could just be a case of mixed up dates/times

It was a storewide coupon from The Daily Digi feature

We do have a 4th of July sale coming up here very soon... if you can wait. Otherwise email Robin about it and see if she can help you. :)

I did not know this!?
BUT...I would think that if the experation date is 6/30 I would have until midnight that night. If I have a Macy's coupon that expires on 6/30, it allows me to use it all that day, until midnite when the date changes. I know I also missed using a coupon for this same reason...because I didn't know that the coupon expiring on a certain date actually expired at midnight the day before, like Jennifer's problem.

So we really need to use it by the day before the expiration date, sorry but that is confusing to me!
This is my opinion.

I agree with you...was just saying it gets confusing when adding a coupon sometimes and designers are busy so it can easily slip our mind to add that extra day in there. I believe most designers that want something to expire on the 30th made it have an expiration date of the 1st. I was simply stating that it might have been overlooked to add that day

I usually set my coupons to expire the day after to be safe. But xcart works on whatever timezone the store is in so unfortunately some coupons expire earlier than expected.

Oops, I just posted about this too, but I didn't see this post until now. I spent some time trying to check out (again before midnight tonight) and I couldn't check out. Bummer. :( Oh well, will be waiting for the next store sale then.

I understand what you are saying. But, if the expiration date is 6/30, shouldn't it be good until 11:59pm on 6/30 because it's still the 30th? At midnight it would be invalid and it wouldn't have to say 7/1. I guess I don't understand the expiration date saying 6/30 but it really means it expired on 6/29.

Mybe it's only me who thinks the expiration date should be at the end of that day, just before midnite. Sorry if I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill.:o

No, you're totally right. If it says the 30th, it should be good til the end of the day on the 30th. And most of us set the coupons up to reflect that. I think Meg just meant that it could be human error on our part. I know that if I had a coupon, and I said it expired on 6/30, and if I set it up incorrectly, I'd honor it and change it once it was pointed out to me.

Having said that, Robin is the only one who can change the storewide codes, and she's been out of town without internet access all week, helping her mom as she had surgery this week. She'll be home tonight, but our 4th of July sale kicks off tomorrow evening anyway.

I'm super sorry for the inconvenience!
