made some big bucks on us today. We bought:

washer
dryer
cal-king mattress set
mattress pad & pillows
bed frame
3 piece theatre seating
surround sound theatre system

We had to rent a U-Haul to get it all home because it is pouring down rain here. You should see my house. It looks like a bomb went off. Oh, and I can't use my new washer because we gave our old one to my BIL and the hoses went with it... I have to go buy new hoses tomorrow. LOL!!!

I'm kinda glad our house flooded now... :)

NICE! I love Costco!!!

Holy cow!!! Hope you have an executive membership...that's one SAWEET rebate! And of course the rebate from your Costco Amex...cha ching!

wow!!! What happened? You guys had a flood?

We had a flood many years ago from our 100 gallon fish tank. It was upstairs. It flooded our game room, affecting the garage beneath it, and the carpet. The insurance recarpeted OUR entire house! I was SHOCKED. I only expected them to replace the carpet in THAT one room. They also redrywalled our garage.

My house is still a disaster. We apparently didn't have a true Cal-King bed before and DH had to redo the whole frame at 9:00 last night for the new mattresses to fit. Plus we had to move the old furniture out (to my BIL's house) so the new stuff really didn't get set up last night.

Lucrecia - I probably won't sit in the theatre chairs often because I don't like to watch movies on the theatre screen because DH turns the volume up so you feel like you are actually in a theatre... but it's perfect for DH. They seem to be pretty good quality too! And they were marked down from $799 to $499 so that made it even better! We still have to get a sofa bed to match for that room.

Samara, yes we had a small flood Thanksgiving weekend. We came home from camping and when DS flushed the toilet it overflowed and, of course, why would a 6 year old notice water running all over the floor.... Unfortunately DH and I were outside unloading the trailer and did not see it for a little while so it ruined the wood flooring in the hall and the lino in the bathroom. However, the insurance company couldn't match it so they gave us a big fat check to refloor the whole house. I was able to get the same stuff that we put in for $275 and we had been planning on tiling the bathroom anyways so that will be about another $400 or so. So, needless to say we had a lot of $$$ left over that we are doing some "improvements" with. :)

I'll just be happy when my house is put back together and clean again... :)

My only advice to you is....MAKE sure your homeowners insurance payment is ON TIME this year.

The year after our flood, we got canceled. My escrow account pays my insurance and AAA tried to say that the check was late. Escrow pays in bulk. The check was late (not my fault) however they didn't cancel the other accounts that were paid on the same check. I FOUGHT hard with the insurance company. They said, we'll let you get a new account. I SAID NO, I want it reinstated. After a lot of screaming, they reinstated it.
