SCA = Scrappers' Choice Awards over at DST, for those that don't know. I was one of the volunteer judges and I can tell you that, no matter the category, it was a monumental task narrowing it down to the 3 finalists in a category! The way it worked was Shannon asked for volunteers from the scrapping community, and each of us were assigned one or two categories to judge. We narrowed the category down to 3 finalists, and then the designer sponsoring that category selected the winner from one of those 3. There were also honourable mention sponsors that selected the HM from the remaining two.
Most of the categories had a LOT of submissions, and it was so hard to narrow it down to the three that you thought were truly the best out of all of them. I judged Best Use of Extraction Technique (submitted) and there were 16 pages, nearly every one of them a simply amazing layout! I took it very seriously and really spent a lot of time going through the layouts, narrowing it down further and further each time. So, I have to say, to even qualify in those final 3 in a category is a truly huge accomplishment and you ladies should be very proud of your win! :thumbup:
