confessions of the day.

lauren grier

you're like stars
my confession for today is that I went out and did errands today without brushing my hair. it was too hot in the bathroom and i was sweating so i just pulled it into a bun and pinned down everything that looked funny :p

I just woke up from a 3 hr nap in the middle of the day. I am not ill or really have a good reason to require that long of a nap.

I let the baby tear apart an entire roll of paper towels so I could cook dinner in peace. Peace that cost me $5 because paper towels are so darn expensive.

i haven't showered today either. and the boys sad choices this morning warranted a mandatory catnap... so without shame i joined them.

I need to go grocery shopping, but don't want to until payday so I grilled a cheapy frozen pizza I found in the freezer. Kid was super happy though.

I have been working really hard on eating clean but I have eaten nothing but crap, crap, with a side of crap and washed it down with a bunch of diet soda. I had a crummy Sunday which translated to a crummy Monday. Here is to Tuesday being better.

I made bacon for a recipe and told my kids they couldn't have any while the whole time I clearly ate like 3-4 pieces LOL!!!!

I am so impatient! I want to buy a downloadable audiobook for $3, but if I put it on the credit card I will be mercilessly teased by DH because he hates tiny charges like that, LOL. I normally use Visa gift cards for all my small digi purchases, but I used up my last one and I want the audiobook RIGHT NOW! I don't want to wait until tomorrow when I can buy another gift card. I have tried everything I can think of to get around it (gift card for the site, PayPal, e-gift cards by American Express [which it turns out you can only buy if you have an AmEx to pay for it], etc) and there's just no way to I can buy something from Audible tonight without putting the $3 on our joint card. So yeah, impatience is winning out and I'm going to get teased tomorrow. ;) I've spent the last hour on this, and I'm not going to be able to scrap until I have it. I give up!

After work I went to the mall to get my eyebrows threaded .... I couldn't resist a trip to Nordstrom where I bought a dress ... and then of course, I had to buy matching shoes at DSW :o ... but I'm stoked about my new outfit, it's super cute :D

My confession........I was busy cleaning today and went to mop my floors........I was trying to remember when the last time I have done that chore......honestly can't remember. *hangs head in shame* (seriously.......think MONTHS. I am not dirty and very OCD. This did not go over well with me)

LOL-for me it's showers that I forget about. We run hot, soapy water through the shower every day. How it ends up as dirty as it does baffles me.

Next time just buy a more expensive book :D:p

I spent my whole afternoon pinning ideas on Pinterest! Lunch was Burger King and dinner was Subway!

I bought Miss Monkey a snack-size bag of Chips Ahoy for the drive home (2.5 hrs) from my parents' house yesterday evening.

She ate abt 2/3rds of it and left it on the counter when we got here.

I took it to work this morning and had it with my lunch.

My coworkers teased me mercilessly abt 'stealing a precious 4 year old's cookies'... but I. did. not. care. & ate them with gusto.

:p:p:p

I lied to my friends and made up an excuse because I don't want to go to happy hour with them tomorrow. I'm in that don't-bother-me-I-just-want-to-stay-home mode right now.
