ok.. I am pretty sure I've made a decision on where I want to attend college- I'm currently registered at RIC- the college I attended ages ago.. but the school doesn't really meet with my goals for the future and blah blah blah. anyway.. so I'm 99% sure I've decided on umass boston- because they have a k.i.l.l.e.r. bio department- and dependent on which direction I decide to go with it, they have one of the best in the country for one of the fields.. boston is also one of the best cities in the country for a particular bio field- so really.. I want that. I want to move to Mass anyway.. and eventually closer to boston (I live like literally.. 10 steps from the mass line as is
)
So the dilema.. obviously is residency. It's basically double to attend as an out of stater- I remember in HS some colleges in mass included ri as a pseudo residency.. but I don't see that in the application anywhere..
I was thinking I could just go to RIC for a year, and move to mass now, build up my req 12 months of residency etc.. but then I realized that would eff up my residency for RIC ^_^ (yeh I'm a quick one)..
So would you go ahead.. apply now.. and just suck it up that you'll owe an extra 6k for each semester one year.. or put off school for another year (or however long dependent on when you can find an apartment) or what.. ? I'm obviously going to do the whole fasfa thing.. so in the end I may be covered- but there's the whole "I'm not legally divorced" thing still looming over my head too- so I may NOT be as cushy covered as I would need to be.. So there's that too... sigh.. lol
