Cleaning Stash question........

I am cleaning my stash....I have a couple kits and freebies that have owls in them. The owls are well done but I am not an owl person. I know I will never use them. Should I keep them or toss? I am one of those people that usually have no trouble tossing things I will not use.......But some of these are done really well......Space is not a problem. I have a new 500GB hard drive........;)

Thanks
Renee

If you have the space, I would save them. I only purge old kits that are no longer very good compared to the way the industry has gone now. In other words, only kits I downloaded for free 3 years ago when I started.

I will purge stuff that I will never use - initially it was hard for me to just ditch 1-2 items from a collection but then one day I just let go and hit delete...

I don't have any problem deleting things- especially things that have been recolored a zillion times in the same kit since I can recolor myself... if it's something I know I'll never use or need, I get rid of it.
I don't need to free up space on my computer either, but I'm always getting rid of that extra stuff- why sift thru it when I'm looking for what I want to use? :)

I purge. It was hard at first because I was a life long pack rat, but after the first few times I never looked back. If you can think of one or two things you might do with - maybe a hybrid card & space isn't a problem I say keep them. But for me, things like it being really nicce, or costing a lot of money, is not sufficient to hang onto something if I am never going to use it.

toss it toss it toss it :) :)...I'm really big on purging...have no problems deleting stuff...I have very very little saved...if it's been on my EHD 3+ months and I haven't used it I usually toss it. I used to save stuff, but there is so much NEW stuff to use daily that I know I'll never go back to it. I only make copies of particular elements and stuff in a kit if it's something that I think I can use again and then toss the rest. I could scrap just from my "to scrap" folder from now til Christmas and still not use it all so out with the old I say :)

I want to be like Nikki when I grow up!! :)

I do purge, but not quite like that! I have purged over 100G though this year...my EHD that I'm using right now is 320G and it's nearly full...so I'm purging again. I got rid of about 10G of stuff yesterday. I will never use all I have though...but I understand that need to save that one little thing that you might never use...but it's so well done...I've got to get over that!

I keep just about everything and only ditch stuff that I got that is poor quality or I know without a doubt that I will never use it again, lol!

This is exactly what i'm doing right now... purging. i'm saving the stuff i want from the kit in another folder and deleting the rest of the kit

lol!

well..you know I've been digi scrapping for over 4 years now and goodness if I kept everything I'd need like 75 EHDs lol.

I don't burn dvds either...the only thing I burn is finished layouts and photos.

Thanks for the input......
I think I will delete just so I dont get in the habit of keeping things just because........

As always, you ladies know all the answers.

This is just stuff that I purchase BTW...I usually keep all my CT stuff in case I need to go back to something older for whatever reason.

I really need to go through my digi stuff and purge what I know I'll never use. It's hard to think of getting rid of stuff out of a kit when you think about that it came with the kit, so it must have to stay with it...I have to tell myself it's okay to get rid of stuff I won't use.
