Cleaning day- keep me accountable

So, I've decided today is the day to totally clean and organize my house. I'm feeling the need to have everything in order before the girls start back to school on the 25th. We've been in this house for 3 1/2 mos now and I still haven't ever felt like I'm completely done unpacking/organizing. SO, here's what I need to do...

Girls' Bedroom
- wash sheets *done*
- go through and purge old shoes *done*
- hang pictures *done*
- straighten up closet
- dust, sweet & mop *done*

Play Room
- bomb it... lol not really
- clean up toys
- dust, vacuum

Our Bedroom
- clean bathroom *done*
- wash sheets *done*
- straighten desk *done*
- laundry
- dust, sweep & mop

Living/Dining Room
- dust, sweep/vacuum & mop

Other
- clean main bathroom
- organize coat closet
- organize laundry closet

SO, if you see me on the computer today other than to mark off my list... smack me! lol

My cleaning days are Sunday, so I feel your pain, I DREAD Sundays LOL.

I'll be here all day scrapping and wasting time, so I'll kick your butt, but you have to do the same for me tomorrow LOL
 
Good luck Laura! Saturday is my cleaning day and what am I doing right now.... so I don't think I'm gonna be very good at getting you going! LOL!
 
i desperately need to do this too! we are still remodeling our bathroom (being held up with needing some bathtub pipes redone; and really no money till th 27th, ugh.) but there are tools all over the kitchen table, floor and in the hallway to the bathroom. I had them all in one area in the kitchen for awhile, but DH doesn't pick up after himself. plus, i have a few loads of laundry to do (when do i not?) the kids' playroom needs to be cleaned badly (bombed, lol) and i have a half full dishwasher waiting to be fully loaded and turned on. i swear i'll get to to it! maybe i'll make a list too.
 
Uck, fridays are usually my cleaning days, but I totally slacked off yesterday and got nothing done. I'll have to do it this weekend. Good luck with your cleaning!!!!!!
 
Good luck with that! I do 2 1/2 -3 hours of cleaning every day, EXCEPT weekends....weekends are for me and DH to do what we want and nothing else, other than maybe 1 load of laundry.
 
Well, I made progress but it looks like the list will be carried into tomorrow. sigh I really hoped I'd get it all done today but I kinda pooped out around dinner time and then got sucked back into reading "Twilight".

It's too HOT for me to even think of cleaning. So I will be in my sewing room sewing dresses for Mary Ellen's (DIL) mom. Their just simple moo's moo's so they go together fast. At least it is a little cooler down there. I'll think about cleaning when the sun goes down and hubby goes to work.
 
Wow, Laura.. It looks like you got a lot done in a day, a list like that would take me a week! Now, get some rest! ;)

Usually, I clean as I go throughout the entire week, but today I had the urge to vacuum like crazy :p
 
Dude. I've been in this itsy bitsy apartment since March, and I'm still not done unpacking. (Albeit, I was on bedrest until June, and then I had the c-section, but still!)

It's too small for us, so it's really difficult.
