Christmas Wish Lists

So, yeah, I know, it's October, but my family always asks for lists early. What are you all going to put on your own wish lists for Christmas? I have no clue other than gift cards for our vacation and to get blinds for my house, but I hate asking for only gift cards. I thought maybe your wish lists would inspire me. So, let's hear them.

armband for my phone
gorillapod with phone clip
marble rolling pin
Cuisinart griddler
Dutch Oven
craft supplies
pillows
down comforter
camera lens cleaning kit
quilting supplies

I honestly keep a revolving wishlist year round of things I see and like but don't want to buy myself. I'm on a buying freeze for items for myself at this point unless it's something I NEED before Christmas so I just add everything to the list.

Oh, and I totally just track everything on amazon. I have one for me, one for DH, and one for couples gifts. It's super easy to share with family that way and we're the kind of people that will just tell each other to wrap the amazon boxes lol.

My DH definitely thinks I'm harder to buy for now that I do all my scrapping digitally, lol. I always ask for a new album, right now I'm using the doodlebug 3 ring binders. I try to go to Bath & Body works and ask for a few things from there, mainly body wash because I go through it quicker than something like lotion. I'm not a big purse collector, but I do like Vera Bradley so I also think I will put a couple things from there - I try to pick things I wouldn't spend money on myself like a lunch box (or whatever they call them). I teach jazzercise, so I went through the catalog and picked out some new tops I wouldn't mind having - is there a place you like to shop where you could pick some things online but then have the freedom to return if they don't fit?

For my kids, I like to buy tickets instead of all toys... I already bought tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters, Motorcross, and a Disney show. Perhaps there's an event you might like to go to?

A food processor
waffle maker
Kitchen aid mixer
slipat mats for baking
pastry cutter
kindle books
Young house love book
domino decorating book
Some new white bedding for our bed.

I won't be much help - LOL - the only people who actually buy gifts for me are my parents and I keep it to $100 or less. (I have a very small family and I'm adamant that my son and his wife spend their money on their kids at Christmas). The rest of us make gifts for each other (2 sisters, DS, and DD). That's literally the extent of my family.

So anyway, I've asked for a new cover for my couch and a pair of boots for this winter.

I'm pretty sure I'll get either a new kindle (I still use a generation 2 one) or my own ipad to use for school stuff... hubby has already asked me which one I would like more right now...

Otherwise:
new cookie sheets
brookstone nap pillow
new bedding for the bedroom
paint for the walls... I really, really want to paint...
new lamps for the living room
DVDs of the seasons I'm missing of Modern Family, Big Bang, and 30 rock (I watch during walking on treadmill)
new drinking glasses
camera lens for the big boy camera

and if have money to burn...
new appliances for kitchen
new macbook

:)

My family all understands that my biggest need AND want right now is money that I can save for a blog conference next year. BlogHer 13 was so beneficial to me in connecting with other bloggers and brands, but I barely scraped enough money together to attend. I know that cash is not a typically polite gift to ask forx and I've written down some books and CDs for those few extended family members I get gifts from. But, since any other gifts I get are from my parents, brother, or grandma, they all understand how much money, hotel certificates, or flight vouchers would be for next year's conference season.

I want a sillouette portrait (that's the small one, right?)

I'd love a 50 mm 1.4, but I doubt we'll spend that much on each other.

I don't get many gifts for Christmas nowadays. My mom gives us money and then DH and I buy a couple of small things for each other. But we buy what we want throughout the year, so we usually just concentrate on the boys at Christmas. So I really never have a list and right now I can't think of a thing I would put on one. :)

I'd like a new lens, but have no idea what I want, and it probably wouldn't happen anyway :D We tend to just stick to smaller gifts for each other, and aside from hubby, I don't have anyone else who would be buying me bigger gifts, since my sisters and I usually agree to just exchange something small!

DH and I were just talking Christmas lists last night. DH is the only one who buys for me so I never really have anything in mind because no one asks. LOL I'm not complaining though, I prefer Christmas to be about the kids. :)

Last year the two items on my wish list consisted of a Nexus 7 and a Silhouette Portrait. I got the Nexus for Christmas and the Portrait over the summer. I don't have much left to ask for. ;)

Every other year we travel at Thanksgiving and because of the extra expense we keep Christmas low key those years. This year we are going to Atlanta so we aren't doing much as far as a big Christmas. DH and I were talking about how we might just pick out a paint color and a new set of bed linens for our room as a Christmas present to each other. We have used the same comforter since my son was 3 months old and he will be 8 years old next month. We have lived in this house for 5 years come Halloween and we haven't touched our room other than to move furniture in. The walls are still bare. Doing something to our room would be nice.

Beyond that... I want a treadmill. However, I want a pricey one so I'm not even going to ask. We are SUPER close to being completely out of debt (minus the mortgage) so I'll wait until after that to even mention it. When we get a treadmill I also want to mount a TV in the room that I'm calling a craft room (my daughter's old room) so that I can work out in there and watch TV while I craft. :)

New drinking glasses. Sounds kinda boring, but for 25 years of marriage we have had Tupperware cups and I am ready for real and matching glasses now. :)

I'd also like a waffle iron. The square kind that makes 4 square waffles at once. I used to have one, but it lost a battle with PMS one month, and the Belgian waffle maker just isn't the same thing.

Usually I ask for something "big" from my husband. But this year, I think what I really want is to refinish our kitchen cabinets. I can't seem to get him to do it any other way (all the projects he wants to do seem to take priority), so if I ask for it for Christmas, that will probably get it done. :)

iPod
armband for iPod
sewing machine for hybrid projects
Selphy printer
Zoom lens for soccer/baseball games
New camera bag
Victoria's Secret Lovespell Lotion

I usually have a few ideas for me... for my parents and hubby... but they don't usually get what I'd like. If something is really needed, I buy it... but if something is really expensive, I wait. We moved last December... and I need things for the house. Yet, the problem is that they won't buy "things for the house for me" for Christmas! BUT... that's what I want, lol!

4 Curtain Panels for our Bedroom... and hemmed.
Bed, Bath and Beyond GC
Curtains for the Door
Blinds for the Bedrooms.
Snowblower (more for DH, lol!)
Wall art - I'm currently going to make my own... but there are some prints/giclee that I'd love.
Pottery Barn GC
