Christmas card printing ?

So, I was wondering.... is there a place out there that will print a double-sided Christmas card? Like, on the front i want the card and the back to have our little family letter thingy. I really don't want to print letters at home and fold them up to put in the envelopes with the cards.

Vistaprint! I have done it the past 2 years and the only reason I didn't do it this year was because I got my Shutterfly cards for free using my Pampers points. I'll be going back to Vistprint next year because I missed not doing an update this year!

Could you tell me HOW to do that? I did a "trial run" and couldn't figure out how to personalize the back. Can I scrap the back and upload? OR do I have to type in my message and it will be plain?

I was able to scrap the front and back. I think there's an option later on in the card making process because you have to pay extra for it.

Here one of the cards I've done:

Hmmm... interesting. I kept going and you can upload a photo for the back BUT it's a very small photo and they have a typed greeting under it?????? I don't see if I could scrap the entire back and upload.

Ack, the only template I can find to make the back photo be full bleed makes the photo look like an overlay... so that text can go over it.

When you upload an image for the back side, do that, but then click on "choose a different back side template" then click on "non-photo", then "matching", then click on the grey one. You can then upload an image and crop it to fit the card size (you won't have to crop if you make it 4x8). I did mine through vistaprint.ca and it wasn't that difficult, so maybe the US site is different?

Thanks! I was a little lost, but I figured it out! :) I'm pretty amazed... for double sided color printing, 50 cards will only be $20!!! Plus they come with envelopes?!? CRAZY!

That IS an awesome deal! I'd be paying more since I'm in Canada...I think I paid about $25-30 for 30 cards last year.

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm getting ready to order from Costco, but I'm thinking this is a much better option! Thanks, ladies! Now, I just have to rescrap my card from 4x6 to 4x8, but that's not a big deal. Sweet!

QUESTION:)

Those of you that have used Vista, what's the turn around on shipping? I'd rather not pay for the "rush" shipping, but 3 weeks seems like a long time for printing and shipping. What shipping option did you use? Did it actually take the maximum time or was it faster?

I bet the sale stays on. They seem to always be doing a sale. Did you sign up for the e-mail list, because they always send sale links?

I used to order from Vistaprint for my business back in the day and it seemed like the printing turnaround was always faster than it listed. I paid for faster shipping the first few times and skipped it after that and I always had them back before the time it listed.

Thanks! That's what I wanted to know!

I totally just ordered! I was just going to get 50 to see how it turned out, but then they said I could have 50 more for only 9.50 more, plus free shipping. So, now I have 100 coming and I hope they turn out ok:) That means I got 100 double-sided printed/with envelopes for $34.88 out the door. I'm excited! I need about 150 - wow that makes me sound like I know a lot of people! LOL We've got like 50 out of state family/friends we keep in touch with. Then the 50 people from our current ward (ie congregation) and 50 people from our old ward that DH grew up in. So the extras I will just print as 4x6 at Costco like I had planned to in the beginning and print my letter on paper to include in the envelope. I chose the slowest shipping, so we'll see how fast they get here. I'll keep you posted. Fun times!

YAY! That is so exciting! I'm totally going to order through Vista too... once I get my pics and a card designed. ;) Tell us how they turn out, k?! :)

Oh I am sooo glad I found this thread! I normally just print my cards at winkflash and then add a letter on pretty paper at home. I'm so doing these this year! Thanks!

THANK YOU! This site seems awesome! I am working on cards with some friends tomorrow!
